How's everyone doing?

I'm all normal and boring now.
Quite a bit of 4e D&D lately.
New girlfriend. Well new since last May.
Moving in together sometime soon and talk of a wedding in 2010. (though she won't let me propose yet.)
Set schedule at work, finally.

Glad to hear things are going good.
RL....things on this end have drasticaly changed, left Connecticut and moved to Florida a few years ago, before that I wasn't playing much of anything...the woman, the bands and all that stuff.
Well, no woman      no band    more time to geek 
I made a "return" to EQ2 and rejoined Saga, will always miss those old EQ1 days, but things are very good right now......Flann (Kulrin) seems happy for the return of some of us   
I don't play nearly as much as I used to, but when I do get in, I have a good time.

Mainly Bou, Mene and Njorn are my source of entertainment, still a Paladin hehehe
Play on some others, but Jodas is my man now

Hey you!  Good to hear from you!

Things are going very well here.  Bahl and I are still together and talking marriage next year.  The children are doing well and are 17 and 15 now.

We played Vanguard solid after leaving EQ2 and really enjoyed that game.  But eventually we ran out of things to do there and decided it was time to move on.  We played Age of Conan and found much to enjoy there as well, but it just wasn't the same without elves, dwarves, trolls, and the odd orc running amok.  One day Njorn (a great guy that we met in Vanguard) said he had been playing a bit of EQ2 and would I like to try it out?  I rolled up a character and haven't left since.  A bunch of us seem to have returned in mass and we picked up a couple more from Vanguard who stop in every now and then.  Now I'm wondering why I left.

So, in short, we are carrying on in a Saga of reduced numbers, but vibrant in spirit.  I am glad to hear that all is well with you and thanks for stopping by!

Yes, I'm one of the EQ2 returnees, and plan on catching up with the game (and the guild) over this weekend since apparently I've forgotten even how to dismount my mount after a nearly 2 year hiatus from all mmos.

The Beard!

Good to hear life is trating you mostly well eh? Pretty much same story here...work, kids, play as I can, wish I could play with all the good folks here more. I actually dabble back on FV a couple eves a week, and enjoy that a lot too.

I keep waiting for Mene to break down and weep over his Pats though...and...at risk of starting a scuffle after this weeks game...is it safe so say "How 'bout them 'Phins"!

Yep, pretty boring here.
The Girlfriend and I just put in applications for an apartment together this morning. That's exciting.
(If anyone was keeping score, this is a new improved Girlfriend. We've been together since May of last year. She's an RN/BSN. And well, I've never been treated so well in my life.)
As for the ex's. Some of you know my Former Wife. She's moved to a different city last year so no chance of accidentally bumping into her. But last I heard she was happy and healthy and I wish her well.
And some know Coral. The Life of the Get-togethers. Well when we broke up, we didn't talk for 4 months and then we did, and now she happens to live in the same house that I do with her boyfriend and her and I are the best of friends.
And some of you know Pheonix. Well, we broke up, and just in time. Because she went crazy one night last December and stabbed her husband in the neck. She spent 9 months in jail and just got out 2 weeks ago. She's called me once and the phone call was awkward.

I have steady hours at the TV station now. And most of my free time is spent playing 4e D&D online.
MapTools is an amazing free program. RPTools.net I'm registered there as Hennebeck. It's the RPGA and LFR and we use MT for 4e. If anyone is interested in what all those letters mean, let me know. And the best part is there is no time commitment but the 5 hours you sign up for. You can play twice a  weekend or once a month.

I'm probably going to buy the Deluxe 4e Players Handbook, so I'll be reading up on 4e. How are you on 3.5e rules? Does the MapTool work with that ruleset?

A phone call from an ex GF who just got out after stabbing her then hubby in the neck....wow. ack-ward indeed. (To borrow from Namae, who is cleverer than me....you can tell because you've never heard her type cleverer. Yes. Heard her type....I said that exactly. Wanna make somethin' of it? But...I digress...)

The rest of the news sounds pretty good all round though eh? Good new GF stuff, a new pad, smoother work schedule at the station...(Still the same one? KPDX right?)

The next time there is a Portland centered Saga meet...I might be abe to help arrange a star/planet viewing night among scheduled events with my telescope....just in case that is at all desireable to anyone. (I got a pretty good one this year, and if folks don't mind my lack of expertise, it's fun to toy with once in a blue moon.) It measn staying up awfully late in the summer time, but enough pizza and chatter can fuel a pretty good gazing night.

As for 4th E...well....I have been avoiding it. I am coold with 3.5 and all, but yet another rules edition seemed annoying. I've not read it myself, but what chatter I have heard led me to imagine it as, " D&D, WoW edition". I am sure that is an over simplification, but apparently some of the goal was to make play a bit more like popular online MMORPG's? I'm not sure if that is such a good thing, or not. *shrug* The idea of using PC's as a virtual table for paper-style play is really cool though...that concept makes a ton of sense to me.

Very glad to hear things are well your way. If you ever want to hook up in the city for lunch, I work mostly out of a West side office right downtown.

I, on the other hand, am an absolute thrill to have around.   

 

I'm doing great as well.  Exhausted, now with fall term starting again.  I'm beginning my core accounting classes this term and will continue them for the next two years.  When I finish those, I'll have my Associates in Accounting.  Then I can choose to work or continue 2 more years to a Masters or 3 for CPA. 

The kids are great.  My kids are old.  (I'm not.)  14, 12 & 10 now.

Stacy is still putting up with me, we are going on 6 yrs now.  NO plans for marriage.  We prefer to be happy.

I may be heading north around christmas as my kids' birth-dad is now being transfered back to Ft. Lewis, WA, and wants the kids for a week during the break.  Perhaps we can co-orse some old friends to get together.

Would LOVE to see you in WA.  I wonder where Ft Lewis is.  I'll ask Halagren.  I'm planning on flying out there after Christmas and before New Years.  Does that work for you?

Lyri, I have no clue when I'll be going up, we probably won't be making solid plans until december.  ft. lewis is 2 hours straight north of portland, but I'll probably be meeting him in portland.

News, news... well moved in with my GF earlier this year, having a baby girl around the same time to make things easier to handle.  The baby is fine and she just got her first tooth last week, effectively adding "bite" to her already impressive array of natural habilities to stress her parents 

Regarding games, after the wonderful VG experience a few already talked about, I took a break and moved back to WoW on the European servers. Tried the RP PvP server there but somehow RP in french brings an odd feeling (english sounds so exotic to me ) so I stopped and only play on PvE now.

Anyway, I'm waiting for the next big batch of MMO realeases now (SW: the old republic and such) to join back the Family.
