Forsetti

Please write an introduction to your character.
Include name, race, gender, profession, alignment.
If you have any crafting disciplines or have other talents, please include those as well.

Forsetti Is a Being, an embodiment of a few core values & disciplines. While he has been many men across an assortment of universes the personalities of these men have developed organically
through the interaction of these core philosophies with the laws & rules of each mans individual world. Forsetti Has always been a child of light who wields great melee weapons in tandem with
magics of healing & purity to protect the innocent & mete justice to those seeking to put themselves above it.Most often this man is a craftsman of fine shimmering heavy armors, a symbol perhaps
of his dedication to standing between the innocent & the darkness that would swallow them whole.

Do you have alternate characters on the same server?

I often have an assortment of characters who are active depending on situation & mood.

How did you hear of us?

Saga was the only posted guild that seemed to fit my play style & desired community in a list of many.

Is there anyone you have got to know from the family, IC or OOC?

I have spoken with Rumze briefly but I would not presume to know him.

What types of games have you participated in? (include all types, such as pen/paper or MMORPGs, PC, Console, board games, card games.)

I (of coarse) started with board games as a child in the 70s & 80s culminating in games such as stratigo & Dungeon (both bring back fond memories) I moved to more advanced games as a teen such as D&D, Gamma World & star frontiers while dabbing in atari video games. As a young adult in the military I purchased my first console (original 8 bit nintendo) moving from console to console through the years I believe Ive played most of them (nintendo,SNES,genisis,saturn,nintendo64,3DO, ps1,ps2,game cube,xbox/360) in 99 I was introduced to EQ by a coworker & shortly there after I purchased my first personal computer. A few months later it was no longer strong enough so I taught myself to build them & have been a rigger ever since.I have played most of the big MMos since that time including EQ2, Horizons/Istaria, LOTRO, WoW, Rift, GW2, TOR & Landmark.

What other games are you interested in that Saga participates or is moving towards?

I am very excited about EQ Next & am currently involved in Landmark. Ive purchased a PS4 just to play Destiny when it releases(the ps4 is still in the box where it will most likely stay until that time). I participated In ESO Betas but the game play was not compelling.

What aspects of gaming have you enjoyed in the past and/or looking forward to enjoying with Saga? Light raiding, dungeon delving, situational roleplay, story-writing, crafting, PvP, etc.

In MMOs I enjoy exploring & understanding lore most, Fancy gear is a close second. To that end I would very much enjoy dungeons & raiding when i find confident footing.
I have been known to dabble in PvP but when it turns ugly in chat (which it usually does) I find that it puts me off of the activity for a very long time.

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?

In Saga I expect to find friendship, community, a sense of belonging & loyalty

Have you read and agree to our Guild Policies and Guidelines?

I have read and agree with the guild policies/guidelines

Please answer the following three questions, IN CHARACTER:
Tell us of your past.

Forsetti stares out the small portal near his shoulder. The vast emptiness of space feels somehow warmer now with the knowledge that Nexus is so close. All around him the hustle and bustle of body's moving too and fro executing tasks in earnest is odd and alien. Years spent in cryo sleep. Was it years? It felt like a good night's sleep, though it did take four days to convince his bones to stop feeling cold. Then a month of tasks around the ship with ne'er a soul in sight. Forsetti had been pulled from Cryo early to assist the engineers with readying the ark for counter thrust as it reached its destination. At that time the ark had seemed so huge with a grand total of 148 hands out of cryo it was the equivalent of three Chua operating a planetary pulverizer. He chuckles to himself at the thought, not just because of its absurdity but also because he has seen it done. Now they were in full retro thrust and only a week out from Nexus. Tens of thousands were awake and preparing the way for more still to be pulled from cryo and sent to their respective colonies planet side upon arrival. The past several days rumors had been swirling like eddies among the raging river of moving Exiles. It was being said that the Dominion was close behind the Ark and closing the distance. More hyper exaggerated fear, how would the Dominion even find Nexus? It took exiled explorers a hundred years to find the planet and even then it was pure accident. Here they were, in a dark corner on the fringe of the galaxy, it would take an act of treason or Black magic to allow Dominion soldiers to track them here. He shuddered at the thought. Forsetti had plenty of experience with the Draken. Brutal, heartless and primitive, they were not to be trifled with.
Forsetti had been born the eldest son of a powerful Cassian Noble family but he much preferred the rags he wore now to the guilt which had clothed him in those days. He had never been comfortable watching the "lesser" races toil and die for the pleasure and comfort of his peers. Even though his entire life he had been told "they were born for it". In his teens Forsetti had joined a cell of alien supporters slash protestors. He soon discovered that most of the Highborn entitled brats, with which he protested, were merely there to make their parents cry. They would disappear one by one as the Patriarchs offered them bribes to come home. That was not Forsetti's way or intent. Offers poured in from his father Balduris, a wealthy councilman in the capitol. He nearly promised him Cassus its self if only he would return home but Forsetti would not be swayed. One thick sooty night on Cassia's industrial continent dark scaly figures had slipped into the dormitory where Forsetti and his compatriots slept. A Draken hit squad had been sent that night to tear Forsetti, then only 17, from his cause and return him to his family. The problem was that Draken were unreliable at any task not involving violence. And so it was that night. One of the Draken flew into a blood rage when he was discovered, igniting his mates (when possessed by blood rage Draken create a frenzy among their fellows). Official records state that none survived the ensuing slaughter except the Draken squad who were later executed by Balduris. Officially for their crimes against Highborn Cassian children but unofficially to cover his involvement. The scene that night was a grizzly one. The Protestors did not possess one weapon or even the beginnings of an education on self defense. 52 died that night and none could be correctly pieced back together for identification. It was in this way that Forsetti had escaped his father for good. If not for a Granok slave Forsetti would have perished that night along with the others. Instead he and three true compatriots escaped as the mountainous Granok beat off Draken attackers two at a time. That was 15 solar years ago, 15 hard fought, battle hardened years. No Creature would slaughter innocents while Forsetti stood by helpless ever again.
Suddenly he is roused from his fitful memories by the sight of a microscopic shimmering green dot out the port window. Nexus! Thank the maker! All the blood and battle was behind them now. They were home.

What hobbies and quests do you presently have?

Too long have I walked these steel corridors with the ringing of iron underfoot & the hum of engines all around, Let me leap from boulder to boulder with the birds cheering me on & the laughing wind threatening to foil my footing.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

on a little farm plot on Nexus, strong sons to help me till & a daughter to make it all worthwhile.

Welcome to the Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Thank you for filling out the Roster Card. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in Wildstar so they can get to know you.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

As an Initiate, you should now have access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crafting disciplines.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome!

Elsavette

Hi there. Sounds like an interesting character what with being highborn. Look forward to seeing you in game. I might not be playing much of the open beta as I've been in a few and don't want to get burnt out. My character name is PaigeTurner and you may add me to your friends list if you like. That goes for everyone!
