Sarhea

The door to the bar opened, and a desheveled looking halfelf woman walked in, her white hair hanging in her face.

She was clad for battle, in armor so deep a purple as to almost be black...a sure sign that she followed the Dark Father, but carried no weapons, although her hands moved nervously to her sides, as if she were not used to being so unprotected.

She looked around at the patrons. A few she recognized, most she did not.

Noting several looks of quiet alarm, she held her hands out and spoke.

I come unarmed, and today for no other purpose than to find Menemas.

I would speak with him...if he would listen.

With that, the warrior walked calmly to an unoccupied table away from the merriment.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Katryna Sowdier
Shamaness of Saga

Katryna looks up from her ale and watches closely as the stranger speaks and takes note of her disheveled state, wondering what she wanted with Menemas.

Kat waved her hand for the barmaid to bring her an ale and when she set it down Kat whispered into her ear "I do not wish to be leavin while this stranger is afoot even if she be unarmed, send a runner to Menemas to inform him of her presence then take an ale over to her, I may not take a liken to her kind or trust them for that matter but if she be havin enough back bone to enter here then she be deservin a drink." The barmaid scurries off to do what she has been asked.

Sarhea

As Sarhea sat down at the unoccupied table, the barmaid brought her an ale, pointing at the large barbarian woman across the bar.

She thanked the barmaid and nodded at the barbarian, and tried to fight the urge to wrinkle her nose at the ale.

The halfelf wasnt a drinker, but from her friend Demaste, she understood that it would seem a slight if she didn't at least nurse the ale for awhile, so, taking a deep breath, she took a sip of the ale and did her best to hide a shudder.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Serinity Di'Marcia
Holy Knight of Tunare

Wandering into the tavern, ready for some cold ale, Serinity immediately notices the stranger. Admiring the armor, then wondering what one such as her is even doing in here; she makes her way over to Kat, since her's (other than the barmaid's) is the only face she recognizes. Whispering to Kat, "Who be this dark lass, sitting in our tavern, and wasting a perfectly good ale?" Thank asking if Kat minds if she minds if Serinity joins her, pulls up a chair, and motions for an ale.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mixxi Bixiebane
Diva of Destruction

Mixxi enters the tavern with her usual clatter and multiple gouges in the door. Her eyes go wide and then narrow as she sees Sarhea seated in the tavern like a dark hole in the warmth and light. She goes immediately to stand in front of the scarred and wiry woman, her hands loose and ready.

"I may have respect for a fellow bladeweaver, but I won't have any harm coming to my friends. What business do you have here?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarhea

Sarhea looked to the door upon hearing all the clatter, and hid a grin as the halfling warrioress strode in, and directly to Sarhea's table.

When Mixxi was done speaking, the halfelf looked steadily at her

I've come to find Menemas. You're welcome to sit here till he arrives.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mixxi Bixiebane
Diva of Destruction

Mixxi remains standing and holds her gaze steady. She shrugs a shoulder slightly, easing her armor on her tired frame.

"Menemas is dear to me. I would rather you would leave now, for I think you can bring no joy to him. But the folk here are more open-minded then I am, and probably would show hospitality to you even if I would rather they didn't.

"Menemas went through terrible things long ago. If you seek to revive any of that or cause him ANY distress, you will have my blade aimed at your heart, even if I must leave my kind-hearted comrades here to stand against you.

"Katryna here buys a drink for someone who spoke of gutting Tuppen the last time you met with us. I won't stand by as easily as they do if you seek to rip out Menemas' heart and soul as well."

Mixxi steps back and leans against the bar, watching Sarhea closely.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Katryna Sowdier
Shamaness of Saga

Katryna smiles at Serenity and motions for her to take a seat still keeping her eye on the Halfelf at the other table.

Katryna replies to Serenity's question is a solemn voice "I ave seen her around and the ones she associates with, they are not ones to be trusted. I think ye ave had the bad luck to run into one or two of them, do ye recognize the name of the League of Shadows?"

While waiting for Serenity to answer she hears Mixxi mention her distaste of Katryna's actions and chuckles to herself. Katryna stands up and tells Serenity I shall be right back friend, please keep an eye on that one *points to Sarhea*.

Katryna approaches Mixxi at the bar and stands beside her but looks at the Halfelf while talking to Mixxi. "I donna ask ye agree with me but I tell ye this, if she be wantin to meet with Menema's I would be rather havin it here than somewhere else, we donna know whats goin on and this way we can be watchin his back so aye I will be buyin her a drink and keepin her here under a watchful eye just like I be liken to keep me enemies."

Katryna turns to Mixxi and salutes her in a respectful and honorable manner. Kat then asks the barmaid to give Mixxi one of Tuppen's specials and throws down the platinum then returns to her table in the back.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarhea

The halfelf lowered her head to inspect her ale, as Mixxi walked away.

Yes, she remembered all that she'd put Menemas through.

And to this day, though she'd not admit it to many, if there was a way Sarhea could go back and undo that hurt, she would, without question.

She listened to the gossip mills, hoping the druid would find a love....one who could give him what she'd taken from him...

Maybe this was a bad idea...so much time had passed....maybe Menemas....maybe this would hurt him again...

Sarhea sighed deeply into her ale, and watched the door.

She was here now, she might as well stay.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Menemas Fleetfoott
Tunare's Chosen

Menemas quickly enters the tavern and looks around for her.

He strolls slowly over to her table, pulls up a chair and leans in close.

Looks at her with a strange look in his eyes and speaks quietly so no one else can hear.

"Yes, my love?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarhea

Sarhea didn't hear him come in...she didn't hear anything until he spoke.

Upon hearing his words, she paled considerably.

Still studying her ale, afraid to look up, she spoke, quietly.

How can you still call me that?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Menemas Fleetfoott
Tunare's Chosen

Continues to stare at her

"Because I never stopped believing"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarhea

With that, Sarhea did look up.

It had been so long since she'd seen him...

She remembered things...

The day she taught him to speak the Human tongue, she'd been so young then.

The times he would just appear where she was hunting...for no other reason than to talk..

He was the one who lead her, the first time she'd dare venture into Nektulos Forest....

But that lead to other memories as well...

a dark elf...Menemas being so....torn within himself...

All the hurt and pain she'd caused this one....

And yet, here he was, telling her he still loved her, after all that.

She firmly believed him one of Tunare's....and herself, well she belonged to Innoruuk now...

And she knew she was capable of Love, of affection, of friendship...Zoronious had shown her that...

She still felt deep affection for this small druid of the AllMother.....when she should want to kill him, by all rights...

And she was deeply sorry for all that she'd done to him as she found her way down her own path...

Maybe...*sigh*

You really do believe that, Menemas.

I...I think I've missed you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Menemas Fleetfoott
Tunare's Chosen

Menemas looks her directly in the eye, his gaze confident and steady. His own memories flashing.

Their meeting in Freeport, he had been lost from that moment.

The blinding rage, the missing periods that he still couldn't recall.

Standing over her new beloved's corpse, the horror of his own deeds eating him up.

The many talks, guiding her through her confusion, hoping to steer her onto a better path, but allowing her to choose her own.

The better times, the best times, and the moment she'd told him.

Menemas' smiles gently.

"There's nothing to think about, you do miss me. And that shows you still care, and that is all that really matters."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarhea

She gives the druid a slightly incredulous look.

But that's not all that matters. There are so many...

She shakes her head a bit, stopping that line of talk.

He truly was Tunare's and that never ceased to amaze her.

She gave a quick look around the bar, meeting gazes, as it felt to Sarhea like everyone was watching them, and rightfully so, really.

They don't think that's all that matters, you know?
They know what I've done...who I am...who I serve. And they'd like as not kill me.
And it wouldn't be without reason. For I would wish to kill one of them, if they set foot in the League hall, to come looking for someone who's done one of mine as much harm as I've done you.

Sarhea clears her throat, and looks down at her ale again, now warm, unsure of what else to say.

So she just looked back up at Menemas.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Menemas Fleetfoott
Tunare's Chosen

Menemas glances over his shoulder at his family.

"What they think is irrelevant. Some way wish to kill you, though I doubt it, but they won't out of their love for me."

Again, the gentle smile

"So tell me, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarhea

Sar wasn't sure how to begin.

Menemas. I've walked a long journey to try to figure out where my place is in Norrath. I belive I've found it. I believe I'm doing what I was put here to do....just as the halfelf made a small sweeping motion with her hand, encompassing those in the tavern all of you are.

I'm not here to discuss right or wrong, but to say that I miss those who were closest to me in my youth..

Haffil, Sarhea shoots a quick, unreadable look to Elsbet, and nods once...

Syllestrae, Sarhea looks down again, unable to hide the look of pain, this time

And you.

We don't live forever, even those of us with an elven background, and I want to tell you that...I'm sorry. I know that the words are meaningless...but I need to say them anyway...

And, Mene... Here she looks up at the elf, in earnest

I miss you. We used to be friends...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Menemas Fleetfoott
Tunare's Chosen

Once again the gentle smile graces Menemas' face.

"And we're not still friends? Granted we've grown apart a bit, but we're still friends. I don't always agree with your chosen course but I've always maintained that everyone must choose their own. Sometimes your actions upset me,"

More serious now.

"and some future actions I might have to step in and stop, hopefully without violence, but don't underestimate my resolve."

The smile returns.

"That aside, I miss you as well."
