OMG.

I was a teenager, went to the movie with friends having NO idea what it was about. Became an all time FAVORITE.

A sequel? How is that pOssIble?

Oh. Wow, I had no idea. I actually got goosebumps at 1:32 in the trailer. Jeff Bridges! A sequel versus a remake (seems like everything is getting remade lately)! I can't wait to see this. Thanks, Denny!

And it's been such a long time since I've seen the original in it's entirety. I need to schedule myself a refresher session.

Yeah, I've been watching the progress on this one and am very psyched! Loved the first one in 1982 as a teenager!

I was seven or eigth when I saw the original, it definitively had something to do with me choosing computer science in college

Most of the original cast is in the movies, and the good news is that it is directed by the guy (whose name escapes me) who did the first one

I want to rent the original and show it to my kids. I wonder where I can lay my hands on it.

I haven't even started looking. It's just one of those things I plan to do between now and when the sequel releases when the mood strikes me. I know I've seen it air on cable a couple of times within recent months, but I either tuned in near the end or started watching in bed and fell asleep before it was over, so I absolutely want a chance to watch it again from start to finish. Unless I see it air again, I suppose I could snatch a copy of an older re-release from one of the big online retailers or even hold off untl the inevitable re-re-release that will be bound to occur as part of the great build-up that the marketing machine will undoubtedly set into motion.

As far as rentals, I'm sure it can be found through Blockbuster or Netflix.
