Do we have a LotRO guild?

I just stated up a new character in the Lord of the Rings Online, which is of course free to play now. I chose to play on Laurelin, the East Coast RP server.

Is anyone else playing LotRO there? Do we have a guild on that server by any chance?

(( You accidently posted this to the in-character section of the boards. ))

(( We sort of lacked coordination with LotRO and ended up there in two waves.  I think Lilica started up a Saga on Landroval early on--or at least she was involved somehow, and others of us who didn't know any better at the time ended up creating a Saga on Firefoot several years later.  :P  I don't know if anyone is still active in game now.  Myself, I was hanging out there waiting for Rift to launch, but I had fun while I was there.  ))

((Landroval was a great RP server last time I was there. I wasn't in Saga there (didn't even know Saga was there, although I seem to remember coming across a Saga-related person in passing once). Mixxi was in League of Arda, and my characters also used to hang out with the Bounders of the Shire. Be sure to give playing a creep a chance (orcs, wargs, and spiders on the Ettenmoors).))

((I don't anticipate returning, though, with GW2 about to launch. I have incredibly fond memories of the game, especially the music system.  If you haven't discovered it already, you must try the Fat Lute  http://www.thefatlute.com/))

Loved this!  I even rolled a minstrel to get into character using this system (a very entertaining class, literally!).

I've been enjoying LotRO on a very casual basis, but I don't think I would make a long-term commitment to it. It's a nice part of my multi-game F2P rotation, however the combat feels a bit too stale and familiar. Put another way, it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't build a house there.

It has got me thinking, though, about establishing a Saga presence in other MMOs that we don't currently have forums for. Star Trek Online and City of Heroes are both fun change-of-pace games that are free-to-play. It might be nice to set up guilds in them so that players who want to take a break and try something different would have a home in those older games. Being Saga's resident Cheap Bastard (TM), I can tell you there are some fun F2P options out there :)

We've tried getting a guild in every game that came out before (when there were far less games), but without an active base, those that were playing looked for and found other guilds to join so the effort of putting together a guild in those games was wasted.
If you get a following of members, you can absolutely create a game guild though.
The opinions expressed here are my own and I have my wife's permission to say so.

Blaek and I started a new Saga guild in Age of Conan.  We are enjoying that game with our teen boys.

Apparently I gave birth to a power gamer whose ability to absorb information, observe and retain details and otherwise fly through the levels is impressive.

He's our new 'go to' guy.  We are happy to have him :D
