Everquest Next!

Now we just have to wait until August 2nd to find out more information.
Unless someone with inside information wants to give us some inside information.

That right there gets you all tingly, doesn't it?   :---

This is very good news, indeed.

Oh, good.  That's what it was.  I was concerned I'd clicked on the wrong link.

I hope EQ Next is really good. The EQ franchise will always hold a special place in my heart.

EQ1-FV: Fnortner, Grimwyrd, Fumoto, and army of alts. BDO: Salamandros. GW2: Arkturo. EQ2: Panacea. RIFT: Nock. SWTOR: Croaker.
Grimwyrd on Discord: SagaFamily Channel= https://discord.gg/pC3NDpAP

Scrib

We have to wait until August just to begin waiting?  :tickedoff:

Nothing has grabbed me like the original Everquest. Vil's sandbox post in the other thread struck a chord with me too.
Here's hoping!
Neverwinter: Ahriahn
RIFT: Greville (Guardian), Ahriahn (Defiant)
Eq1: Dragnil  => Eq2: Scrib, Freddie, Crematia

PinkRose

Oh no, Scrib. We can wait now. It's just that the official waiting begins in August.
Knowing all the goodness that will be coming with EQNext will be a much worse wait than now.

Mmmmm. Tempting to go to SOE live in Vegas just to see the info.

Jasyn

Great video.  More than willing to wait if it means getting it right.  Although it took me aback, I was more pleased than not to hear that SOE had taken the game back to the drawing board.

Until then, I have unborn alts that need attention elsewhere.

However, I do think Scribby should be allowed to start streaming downloads early, so that he can be ready by launch.  ;)

Scrib

Hah, shows how much you know! I replaced and upgraded those vines ages ago. ;)
Neverwinter: Ahriahn
RIFT: Greville (Guardian), Ahriahn (Defiant)
Eq1: Dragnil  => Eq2: Scrib, Freddie, Crematia

Talon

I often hear about the good old days of EQ and regret that I didn't know you all back then. I never played EQ but EQ Next is on my radar, thanks to Saga, so I'll keep an eye out when it's released.

I actually planned a character for the original EQ way back when but never got the game 'cause I couldn't swing the subscription. Also why I had to stop playing Ultima Online.

Congratulations to those involved for Best in Show.

Lyrima

Talon I was a very late comer to EQ too.  I was playing Asheron's Call while these folks were immersed in Norrath I.

When I met Blaek in Horizons and we finally left that game, we played EQI until EQII came out.  So I have a fleeting, vague idea of the places and MOBs mentioned.  I have read lots of the Saga stories in the library from that time, which helps me feel closer to it.

In any case, the lore of EQ is compelling to many but I've always found it overwhelming.  Horizons and AC handled their lore by posting stories every time they patched the game.  Ingenious: gotta wait to log in, read the patch notes and story.  I was fully fluent in both those games' lores.  Now? I'm lost most of the time.  Which bums me out but I've never found a way to immerse in these newer games.

It's me, not the games.  Lots of lore buffs get plenty of lore everywhere they go. It's just me :kia
