This is an old tale but I hope to add it to my story so others will be cautious of wild druids.

Siffo's Rogish Scroll of Remembrance

In honor and gratitude to Dondi and Renien.

This story must start in the past not all that long ago. An older Halfling named Siffo (that would be me) was just starting on his new life as a Rogue.

I was in about my eighth season, hunting in the Misty Thicket when I found her. A young halfling druid, she was lost, hungry, thirsty, weaponless and wearing nothing more than she was born with. Her name was Quea and she told me the sad story of her life. How that evil little brownie Nillipuss lured here behind the barn with the promise of secret to tell. On acount of that she was forced to leave the small farm she grew up on and venture out into the world to seek fame and fortune to erase her tarnished reputation. It was a short story as she was killed right after she left Rivervale.

The gods gave her a new life and set her where I could find her., then I found her corpse, bought her weapons and armor. Soon we became good friends and questing companions. We slew many terrifying (at least to us they were) monsters and ran in panic almost as often. We met many new friends like Jubelale, Twigbent, Amealya, Windu (who still owes me Ork belts), Fidjet, Wertel, many others and the oh how I wish I could forget him Beaggil.

She was there when I ruined my faction with the Deeppockets so bad I decided to end my life (DON'T KILL GUNRICH! At least not many times over. Hey with a name like Gunrich I thought he would have a lot of coin.). I gave all my worldly possessions to my daughter and lay down to die. The Gods had other ideas and returned me the same but new (and I got all my stuff back from my daughter too.). Quea protected me and strengthened my body with her magics while I regained my lost skills.

As time went by we went our separate ways meeting every so often when she would invite me too help her with some project that involved sticking her nose into someplace where it was promptly bashed, slashed, pierced or bitten and then we both get killed. I was once killed because I was looking at some bandits and started thinking what we would do if she were there too.

Now you understand the history of Quea and I so the story can continue.

I was hunting Lesser Shades in the Shadeweaver's Thicket on Luclin when Quea's voice comes to me out of the ether "I really screwed up this time.".

I replied "What is the problem fair lady friend?" or "What did you do now you silly druid?" I don't remember exactly but it was one of those two.

She goes on to tell me how she has lost her body at the bottom of the lake and she can't get it back. She can't find a bank, she doesn't know any bards, she then found a bank but no one has fish scales for enduring breath etc, etc, etc.
I tell her I'm on the way to help but she should contact Jubelale as Jube is a guilder and will have contacts that I don't.

I was slowly, silently sneaking through the Paludal Caverns when I get her voice in my ear scaring me out of a few of the scanty years remaining to me "Jubelale says a bard is on the way, I will meet you at the portal.". Many Plerg Phlarg Fiends are still looking for the voice that passed through grumbling "Great! An addled fingler wiggling druid and a singing fool I don't even know are going to be there to help me. I'm going to get killed again I just know it!".

After traveling half way across the continent on Luclin I eventually make it down to Faydwer, where she meets me, take the backpack and fishing rod I brought for her and drags me half way across another continent I have never stepped foot on before to a rocky island in the middle of a deep, dark, goblin infested lake. "My body is out there somewhere." she says as she points in the general direction of the water. "I'll try and catch some fish scales while we wait for the bards to arrive." She quips while casting her bait into the water. And me being the wise and experienced adventurer that I am replied "I am not waiting for the band to arrive I'll find it myself." And I dove into the water. I swam deep ever downwards and the water kept getting colder and darker, it was then that I realized it had happened again. I had come from some where else to help her do some thing or another and I was going to die.

The Gods in their infinite humor of course returned me to life on Luclin. The first thing I hear is her voice saying, "The bards are here, where'd you go?".

As I made the journey a second time I thought of the songs being made about Quea the lost water bunny and her friend Siffo the anchor.

I arrived a second time at the portal on Faydwer where I meet Dondi. Remember him, he's one of the heroes. He cast powerful spells that let us move across the land as though we were flying. I never had the pleasure of meeting Renien as he had pressing business else where and had to leave before my arrival (probably saving some other fools in dire peril).

Dondi out of the kindness of his heart then transported us through the ether to the lands of West Karanas.

The story is almost ended but not over.

As Quea and I were expressing our profound and deepest gratitude to Dondi and preparing our selves to travel our separate ways I was struck a horrendous blow from behind. It was a mist wolf doing what all wolves and bears do around me, trying to have a Siffo snack. (This attacking thing started soon after I meet Quea, so I'm fairly certain it is some dark devious pact she has made against me with all fur bearing creatures)

I came to life again On Lucilin with her voice cooing in my ear "Oh Siffo, you forgot your body, I'll just drag it over by the portal so you can come and get it. Are you sure you need all this good stuff you were carrying, looks expensive, be a shame if some thief were to steal it, maybe I should take care of it for you.".

"Quea, I know everything I was carrying, it had better still be there when I arrive." I said around a large yawn "tomorrow, I'm too tired to die again today.".

Though they are barely mentioned the true heroes and stars of the story are Renien and Dondi, who out of the kindness of their hearts and the boldness of their souls helped two halfling halfwits just because they could.

Much of the story I can't tell as I was busy dieing, dead or sneaking and running to get there. I would like to know how they got the plea for help, where they traveled from and what they did when they got there.

I would also dearly like to know why Quea was there at that desolete body of ill omened water (Knowing her it just looked like a good place to fish).

The question I have to decide "Is it worth my life to find her and ask for my backpack and fishing pole?".
