Short Bio:   Doc Wiffle is older than he appears to be.  He carries on a family tradition by choosing the healing profession as his own, having received most of his Docktorate of Gnomish Healing "credentials" during his 80 years of service as a medic on the airships of the Royal Navy of Ak'Anon.  In those years, he helped to defend his homeland and its neighboring regions long after the War of the Fay, as the intervening period of endless reconstruction which followed began to wane.

After retiring from the navy, he opened his own private practice in Ak'Anon, which was abandoned (amongst other classified activities) when much of the kingdom's population left for distant shores just before the Rending sparked the Age of Cataclysms.

Though Wiffle remained behind on Faydwer, as did many others, the eventual injury of his nephew--and blossoming apprentice--during one of the Shattering's many debris showers, forced Doc to take him into his care and set forth to the far reaches of an unhospitable Norrath in an effort to find assistance with a treatment that would awaken his nephew, Bramwell, from his deep coma.

Wiffle's nephew eventually recovered on his own.  However, he had regained consciousness without most of his memory intact.  After his recovery, Bramwell could be heard rambling on and on about having dreamt of strangely named lands--lands never before heard of--being beseiged by hordes of blight and undeath.

No longer remembering any of his clerical training, Wiffle's nephew became obsessed with locating his elusive "missing lute".  Not long thereafter, a boating accident caused by swelling ocean waters induced by the continuance of The Shattering allowed Bramwell to escape from Doc Wiffle's watchful eye and to freely pursue his lost treasure.

Ever since, the good docktor has been attempting to track down his nephew.  With the aid of many undisclosed 'witnesses', his trail finally led him to Qeynos, where he is continuing his investigations by acting as an infiltrator within an organization based within the city walls... An organization he believes is withholding information regarding the whereabouts of his nephew... An organization he believes is harboring a fugitive he refers to as The Drunk Cowboy--purported gnome-napping scourge of Norrath.

In his spare time, he serves as a medic for a ragtag band of gnomish pirates.

Brell help us all.

Footnote: Upon the rediscovery of passable shipping lanes to Faydwer, The Docktor has returned to the continent of his people, establishing a presence outside of Qeynos in Kelethin.  In his spare time, he contributes to the effort to reclaim the Gnomeland from the rogue clockworks which have taken over in the gnomes' absence.

Diagnosis:  Thank ye fo' requesting me autograph. Now go away before ye catch a bad case of Chronicus Staringus. It can shorten ye life by up to five minutes!
