Dearest Diary,

I have sooo been neglecting you!  How very awful of me!  I don't even know where to begin.  It makes no sense whatsoever to catch you up on what I've been doing the past few months, so why not start with my latest and greatest adventures then?  Indeed!

Yesterday I reached my 50th circle of knowledge, much to my surprise!  I was with a hunting party which included Talemus, Erendrel, and the crazy Fae Trinity made up of Tayntrix, Sondran, and Njorn.  We were working on translating some runes that make no sense.  We received those runes from a very ugly and ferocious-looking giant who apparently is assistant to Lord Nagafen.   Or was it the Sage that gave us the runes?  I am  not even sure, I pay no attention to such things!  I was so excited about meeting Lord Nagafen, but alas, it turns out he is just a dragon...  A very snobby dragon who will not speak to you unless you know his language.  Actually, maybe he is simply not very bright and hasn't been able to learn any other tongue?  In either case, these runes need to be translated, so we are still working on getting those done!

In other news, I finally found the most exquisite Robe of the Oracle for my fabulous wardrobe collection!  The Fae Trinity got me started on it, then I was aided by Namae, Kiaf, and Liesa.  We got trapped in a chessboard game for a while but eventually managed to be victorious indeed!

So afterwards, Erendrel assisted me in finishing the last tasks, which unfortunately took place in Crushbone Keep.  My!  What an awful place!  And they have enslaved our brethren!  It was quite saddening to see a precious little Koada'dal girl mining for those terrible Orcs.  I wanted to free her, but she was possessed or something because she simply would not leave.  Erendrel said all he could do was to free her of her misery by slaying her if I so wished, but I just couldn't bear the thought of having a fellow Koada'dal's blood in our hands, even if it was to liberate her from her awful fate.  'Twas very saddening indeed.

Anyway, I now have a most lovely aqua-hued robe!  So excited!

Goodnight dearest diary, till we meet again!

Love,

~Lady Ana

Dearest Diary,

Well.....my plan to make Jezerai a celebrity is being threatened by her wish to take lessons from a terrible Neriak Troubador that has taken refuge (much to my dislike) in our tavern.   Suffice to say that his voice makes Mabb's musings sound like Tunare's blessing!

Anyway, I must find a way to make sure Jezerai does not spend too much time with this Sonadin fellow.  It will ruin her reputation as the illegitimate daughter of the Greatest, Sexiest Bard.  Ever.

Speaking of, remember to check on her progress in charm school.  I wonder if she's been showing up to her classes....

Dearest Diary,

Ugh!  I am going to KILL Jasyn!  Kill him!   He forgot to pay my invoices at the spa!  Of course, inkeeper Valean wasn't allowing any of the spa patrons to enter until the debt had been paid in full.  If it wasn't for the sweet and charming Liesa letting me know the doors were shut, there would be dozens of poor souls having bad hair days!

Besides finally getting my spa issues sorted out and preventing being evicted, I went on a fabulous scavenger hunt with Missa, Renei, and Meanie.  We ventured far into the depths of the Feerrott and other places I'm trying very hard to forget.  But the worst and most terrifying part of it all was that Missa made us sneak into Freeport.  FREEPORT!  Home of the Overlord himself!  I was so scared one of his guards would recognize me!  Can you imagine that?  Lucan knowing that I was within his jurisdiction?!  Surely he would have had me executed!  Or worse, forced into concubinal imprisonment!

In any case, after sending a scroll containing my will to my attorney back in Qeynos, I donned my best Ayr'Dal illusion and wore a Freeportian-looking dress to blend in with the other heathen in the city.  Missa knew the way because she had heard many tales about Freeport through her sister Gilleana.  Poor Gilleana lived there for some time, much to her misfortune.  I refuse to acknowledge what we had to go through to get to North Freeport.  Refuse!  But we were lucky enough to quickly find the rune in the North Freeport Mage Tower (a curious place, by the way, loved the floating candles) and headed back to our resplendent hall.  It was the first time I ventured through the gates of Freeport.  It's quite shabby and unkempt, why would anyone in their right mind want to live there?! I am so glad to live in such a charming, clean, and friendly city.

Goodnight dearest diary, till we meet again!

Love,

Dearest Diary,

Oh my gods!  I  found out last eve that Qeynos is at war!!  I could not believe my pretty pointy ears when I heard Wayena and Gilleana in the hall, talking about war!  I was most distressed by the news! I quickly contemplated moving all my assets to Kelethin but then Wayena reassured me that it was simply a cold war.  So now I must go in search of a very fancy and cold-war appropriate mink coat.  I'm thinking either yeti or albino mammoth fur....

Anyway, later in the eve, I went hunting with the lovely but morose Gilleana, what is wrong with her?  She has some serious issues with all that doom and gloom.  I mean, it's not like she's unpleasant-looking or anything, so what's got her so down all the time?  Maybe it's because she is only half Dal?  Hmmm...

In addition to Gilleana, I was with Meanie, and this new little Arasai named Aemora that I simply could not take my eyes off.  You see, she's got these super cute wings that would make fabulous hair pieces and I so want them!  They'd make lovely accessories for the upcoming Erollisi Day Ball.  Oh, but she was not budging.  She wouldn't even let me have them after she dies, and you know we outlive those little bugs by like 1000 %...  Alas, I didn't stand a chance for the moment, but I did draw a sketch so maybe I could find a stylist who can mimic the designs.  It'll be hard to find such a vibrant red dye like her wings, to compliment my hair...

So we were joined by Kharem and Alu...Aul....oh my, I so do not remember how to spell her name.  I must check the spelling in the hall next time I visit.  But they   had also come to my aid a few nights ago when I was trying to fetch the pretty aqua robe.  I do like those two very much as well!  They are Koada'dal! What is not to like!!  Truly brilliant, those two.  We had fun, but then Gilleana being all serious led us to a very dark and lonely town somewhere in the middle of Neriak Nektulos and that was certainly not a good place to be wearing a pastel-colored robe in!  I changed, of course, but still...  There was a vampire in there somewhere, but I did not see it.  I think I would have positively gone into cardiac arrest if I had... I hate those dreadful, wretched undead souls!

Oh yes, and Meanie and Gilleana got some sword they wanted... Ghoul-something or other...  Whatever...it was no hair accessory.  You'd think Gilleana would at least crack a giggle of happpiness, but not even a nice shiny sword did it...  Hmm... Come to think of it, I wouldn't be excited about a sword either, no matter how shiny... Guess I do have something in common with Gilleana after all!

Goodnight dearest diary, till we meet again!

Thine,

~Lady Ana

Dearest Diary,

Oh, what a marvelous weekend it was!  Firstly, I was actually able to make it to Zerzal and Erendrel's first strophe engagement!  It was absolutely divine.  I "accidentally" gave Aramaia a larger dose of the belladonna root medicine she takes for her pain and put her to sleep for a little longer than expected.  As soon as she fell unconscious I snuck out and left the orphan to look after Ara in case she woke up earlier than I anticipated.  I know, it was quite wicked of me, but I knew what I was doing!  I swear!  I would never do anything consciously that I knew would hurt her in any way.  Besides, she could use the extra sleep.  I did leave Samina in charge for a bit, but she forgot, of course.  That poor orphan has the worst memory ever!  I wonder if it has anything to do with all the practicing I did of my mental spells on her when we were kids...   Not that I have to worry about her finding out, she wouldn't remember anyway!

Anyway, the dinner party was fantastic.  Everyone looked lovely.  Zerzal looked perfectly divine.  Handsome Erendrel  looked dashing.  And Bou?  Oh my!  I've never quite seen Bou look so pretty and, dare I say, coquettish!  It was quite something!  I am sure Bahl was very happy about that...  Njorn made delicious beverages for all of us to enjoy.  Jasyn made awfully drunken comments for all of us to enjoy no one in particular.  And I finally got to meet Colors!  Conversations ensured and they were still all confused about where Elves come from.  What is wrong with these people?  I thought they were knowledgeable!  At least Jasyn understood, though I'm not really sure what he meant by saying I came from a scrambled egg...  Must have been more drunken talk...  In any case, I will look into having a one-on-one with Zerzal about how to ask Tunare for the right egg.  And to make sure she asks Tunare to place it near the waterfall behind the dojo because it is the nicest spot for hatching! That is where I hatched from a silver jeweled egg, so my father told me!

Well, I must part for now!

Goodnight dearest diary, till we meet again!

Dearest Diary,

I am in love!  I am in love and I do not know what to do with myself!  I know this is rather abrupt and rather senseless, but I cannot help myself!  Perhaps I should explain how I fell into this situation...  Renei and Menemas took me to a tavern in East Freeport because there was a fellow we needed to see so we could repair a stein (apparently Renei couldn't be bothered to buy one off the broker, that frugal gal).  So we set out to this tavern and as we were sneaking out past the guards, I saw him!  I saw the most handsome Dal I've ever laid eyes upon (after the greatest, sexiest Bard. Ever. Of course).  I couldn't help it!  I fell in love instantly!  His eyes are deep and penetrating!  His skin is of a sun-kissed dew!  His hair is....I can't really remember his hair much, but I'm sure it's perfect!

But then those two, Renei and Menemas, practically dragged me away from him!

Oh, but it was magical!  Our gaze locked for a moment and he just stood there staring, either because he felt the same way or because he was wondering what, exactly, was happening?!  In any case, they took me away from my love and back to Castleview.  And then, what should I see before my eyes but my beloved waiting for me in Castleview!!  Turns out he came after me!  Oh it was perfect!  We are in love and we will be together forever and I must go to him now!

Dearest Diary,

I want to die!  I want to simply fall over and die of massive heart failure after the heartache that just shattered my frail (but very very pretty and pink) heart!  Menemas and Renei are determined that Tel...Tol...Tal....whatever his name is evil and aligned with Freeport!  This cannot be possible!  He is a Wood Elf!  Wood Elves are not evil!!   Menemas has forbidden him entry into our halls and will not let me see Tel...Tal...whatever his name is because it is against our guild's policy.  But I keep telling Meanie (so true to his nickname!), that it's impossible!  No Feir'dal would ever betray Willow Wood and pledge allegiance to Freeport!

In any case, I am devastated!  I can't believe Menemas would spread such awful rumors about my beloved and pair him with Freeport like that!  I haven't eaten anything, ANYTHING, in the last ten minutes!  I am so depressed and crushed, not even chocolate will do!   Well....ok, I will have a piece of chocolate, but not the delectable kind! That is how upset I am!

Dearest Diary,

So it turns out that my forbidden lover does own a home in Freeport, but I think it's more like a vacation home because of his line of work.  You see, he is a mercenary for hire.  I told you he wasn't evil evil in that really evil "I love Lucan and Innoruuk" sort of way!  In any case, he needed a place to stay so I've hidden him in my spa for a night.  I couldn't let him into my South Qeynos home, obviously.  People will talk!  We've not wed yet!   Hmmmm... I wonder what I'll wear to my wedding..?  I'm thinking he can wear one of those lovely Seafarer's suits made of baby blue silk... I'll wear the Elegant and Virtuous Damsel dress but in ivory....no, scratch that... I think the Regal Victory dress in white would work best....no, strike that....ugh!  I have to reserve a hall for the wedding ceremony!  And find a flower shop!  I must go to sleep  now so I can get my 16 hours of beauty rest and start planning all this tomorrow!

Oh I could hardly sleep!  I had to wake up earlier to make my wedding arrangements when I received word from my private investigator that indeed, Talathion (that is his name, I've finally learned it) is in fact a Qeynos Betrayer!  I am absolutely dismayed at this information!  Menemas was right all along!  I don't know if I could face Qeynosian society if they were to find out that I've been seen with a Betrayer!  I must have a word with him and tell him that our love will be forever forbidden if he does not pledge allegiance to our Queen!

Dearest Diary,

My beloved and dearest and handsome and valiant Talathion has come for me!  He was saddened that he is forbidden from visiting me in the hall.  He even decided to buy new clothes so that he is presentable enough for me.  I think he is willing to fight for our love!  I am so happy!  I cannot wait to show Menemas and the rest of Saga that he is, after all, one of us!  He is a good person at heart and willing to change for me!

Dearest Diary,

So Talathion met me at the Nektulos Docks to show me his new wardrobe.  I must say, I never really noticed that his ears are so very disproportionately large...  You know, that is a big deal.  I cannot really have any children who have ears that are too big.  It would be disfiguring!  Also, although he was very excited to show me his new clothes, I must say, they left a lot to be desired.  That boy has the fashion sense of a drunken Dwarf...  Ok that might be a bit cruel...a sober Dwarf will do.  Anyway, I'm having second thoughts about whether I really love him or not.  I mean, now that Menemas is allowing our union and he's been so willing to cooperate, I'm just....not that excited anymore.   Perhaps it's just the weather?  I will have some tea and chocolates by the fountain and hope to relax a bit.

Dearest Diary,

I have to break up with that guy.  I'm going to have to send Samina to do it for me, I can't be bothered to go all the way to Lavastorm to do it.  I've a nail appointment at the spa.  I mean, really??  What was I thinking?  A Wood Elf??  And from Freeport?  What was wrong with me?!  I bet you he bewitched me while we were at that Freeport bar gathering intelligence from that Ogre.  He must have put something in my drink!  I mean, I can't even remember having a drink so that alone should say something!  Ugh, I hope no one found out about our secret liaison, my reputation will be shattered like a magic mirror tipping over...   And you know what?  This is all Menemas and Renei's fault for taking me there to begin with! They're to blame!  Anyway, off I go to see how to let him down as gentle as one can possibly let down the love of their life when finding out they're actually not that attractive nor that honorable.

Wish me luck dearest diary, till we meet again!

Dearest Diary,

Well, I'm awfully busy with this Erollisi Day party planning.  I've no idea where Njorn, Saga's party planner extraordinaire, is hiding these days.  I haven't seen him in ages!   I certainly hope he isn't leaving the burden of making our party fabulous on me!  It looks like I might have to venture out to Greater Faydark and pay him a visit in Kelethin.  I might have to hire a journeyman to help me get there.  Kelethin is such a dangerous city!  I will have to make arrangements to stay at Njorn's in my room should the travel take its toll on me.

Well, since I've severed ties with Talathion after that Varsoon's episode, he will not be my escort for the party.  He actually had the audacity to say that Erendrel was his enemy because of some silly sword or what not.  And if Tal dares to say that a Saga member is his enemy, then that makes him my enemy too!  Especially if it is a fellow Koada'dal Saga member, one that has been most kind to me, even!  So we are over, Tal and I.

Tal is banned from the guild hall anyway so he wouldn't be able to attend even if I wanted him there.  If he can't be there physically to fetch me drinks and hold my purse, then naturally I've no use for him anyway!  It looks like I will be too preoccupied with the party planning to find a suitable escort to the event, which is fine, there will be plenty to do.  Jasyn can always hold my purse for me.  I won't have him fetch my drinks, however.  He always seems to hand me an empty glass when he does.  Hmmm...

In other less favorable news, rumor has it that Mr. Wentuck might be there.  Apparently he has been spotted in our hall recently.  I've not seen him myself, and I don't believe he's really returned.  It's been so long since I last saw him that I've forgotten what he looks like!  I am still terribly upset at him for disappearing like that and not being around to keep me healthy when out adventuring.  And poor Jasyn has had to carry the burden of ALL my bags instead of half without having Flann around to help him.  Anyway, still mad at him!

Now, I must start baking sweet goodies for the party and keep auditioning bards for the performance part of the party!  I need an opening act for Jezerai, who will the main attraction...  No...wait, I'm the main attraction.  Jez is the main performer...  Yes, that is the correct order.

Goodnight dearest diary, till we meet again!

Dearest Diary,

Oh, what a splendid week it has been!  I've had such a lovely time between the Erollisi Day party and spending time adventuring with my fellow guild mates!  Unfortunately, Njorn was nowhere to be found so I had to plan the Erollisi party by myself.  Granted, I nearly had a heart attack when the scheduled  time for the party came around because no one else besides Gambyll, Gambyll, my assistant, and myself were there.  And on top of that I had to watch for Gambyll's Voices and make sure he stopped pouring wine into the piano (oh, that's a long story).  In any case, guests did finally arrive late, but at least they arrived!  We were having a jolly good time!  Even Bahladar was drinking unbeknownst to Bou.  And he took a bath in the hot tub in front of us! His chest was bare...bare!  A handful of us were blushing profusely, not quite sure of what to do should Bou walk in...  Meanie even let us have some of that special brew he's been saving...  I, um, won't be having any of it for a while, if ever, suffice to say.

Of course, there are always the bad apples that show up uninvited.  This infuriating girl, Callysta, showed up to the party and dared to claim she was Saga's new Premier Illusionist!  The nerve!  She was positively horrible!  She kept making very snarky comments about my person and was flirting with all the men.  Ugh, I couldn't stand her.  She would not quit the underhanded criticism of my hair, my seasons, my clothing, everything!  What a mean girl!  But to top it off, she was using the whole "defenseless ingĂ©nue" eyelash-batting routine to get everyone's sympathy!  What nerve!  Everyone knows eyelash-batting is my trademark...

But I was onto her.  She is like Cinderella, the evil step sisters, and the wicked stepmother all rolled into a cute little Elven package.  I truly hope everyone eventually sees through her facade.  I cannot stand her!  I tried to get rid of her via having Sonadin seduce her and take her away to Freeport, but she wouldn't budge.  On top of that, she snitched to Bou and told her I  was the one being mean, so now Bou is threatening me with cancelling the guildhall's subscription to Fashion Quarterly if I am not nice to this...this banshee of a girl!  Ugh, it pains me so, to have to bite my tongue when she says mean things to me, shrouded by sugar-coated words...  But alas, I have no choice.  I just hope that amateur realizes who she's dealing with before I have to resort to other more clandestine measures of retaliation....

But enough about that wench...  I've got other problems to worry about.  It seems that everyone now thinks Orthaniel and I are an item.  As if!  He is a Bard.  The worst kind of Bard.  My family would not be so approving of his....ways, if you will.  Besides, I never agreed to any kind of relationship with that man.  I have no idea why everyone assumes it.  And not too long ago he was too busy chasing other skirts to even notice what I was wearing...  I wonder what brought on the change of heart....or is he just trying to lure me into a trap?  The entire guild is conspiring against me and hoping I give into his charms.  Why, again yesterday one of my suitors was banned from our hall!  I can only assume it is because the officers are in league with that Bard...  Ugh, it's quite distressing...

Besides the party being a brilliant success, I was also able to journey through Norrath in search of adventure.  We had many, many fun battles but my favorite was late in the eve when Erendrel, Namae, Jodas, and I united forces in order to bring glory and honor to Qeynos and Saga, to borrow Jodas's fine words.  We had such a splendid eve, both in company and in adventure!  It was indeed one of the better times I've had in Norrath, so very lovely!  I was racing Erendrel, and though I was clever enough to beat him a few times, I think he had the most overall wins.  Which reminds me, he still has to collect two rewards from me and I one from him.   Hmmm...  I better demand an interesting reward this time, for it may be the only chance I'll get at beating him at something!

We managed to complete several heritage quests in a very short time, relative to the length of time these tasks sometimes take.  I even found the Blade of the Assassin for Qeynos!  I cannot wait to see what this eve has in store for me.  But I know it will be wonderful!

Goodnight dearest diary, till we meet again!

Thine,

~Lady Ana

PS.  So much for Erollisi's priest.  Flann never did show up to bless us.  See why I can't forgive him??  At least I didn't have to jump off the Arbos Tree...

Dearest diary,

Oh, the Erollisi festival was absolutely marvelous this year!  I was so very spoiled by all those who love me, it was perfect!  My mailbox was positively oozing with love!  Oh, so much to write about dearest diary, but I want to keep it as brief as possible for I've much to do.

Let's see, nothing to report on the Callysta front.  Seems to me that my arch-nemesis is having a bit of trouble adjusting to Qeynosian society life.  Of course she is.  But because of her, Missa and I got into an altercation because she had the nerve to tell Missa that I, her dear and beloved friend, snitched to Bou about a  meeting between Missa and Jasyn.  First of all, can I just say that I've no idea why in the world Missa would want to have a meeting with that drunkard.  But perhaps she wanted to hire him for his bag-carrying services?  Anyway, Bou grounded Missa, and Missa got mad at me because she thought I told on her.  Not so!  Though it sounds like something I would do, I didn't.  And if I had, I have no problem admitting so.  In any case, this Callysta is putting ideas into Missa's head and I don't like it one bit!  I hope Bou notices too and keeps Missa from spending more time with that tramp and being brainwashed.  I mean, you should've seen what Missa was wearing the other day thanks in part to Callysta's tasteless fashion advice!  Oh my!  Indecency doesn't even begin to describe it!   Anyway, Missa  and I made up and shared some Erollisi chocolate.  All is well and forgiven now.

After we made up, I paid Missa a visit along with Jodas and Namae.  We had a housewarming get- together of sorts.  Missa's home is lovely!  It is very quaint and pretty.  She's got a charming garden, I loved it!  Later, Missa and Namae retired so I went to visit Jodas's new home in South Qeynos.  Thank goodness he moved from that Kerra-polluted Nettleville place! More like...Nettle-vile!  Anyway, Jodas's home is above that tavern in South Qeynos.  He's done a decent job at decorating it, for a Human man.  And he has a nice, large mirror I couldn't take my eyes off.  As I walked in, I was struck with the aroma of freshly baked fruitcake and slowly moved toward the table where it was placed.  But, oh my!  I saw a rat!  A RAT!  Jodas has a bit of a pest problem in his home and he wouldn't listen to me when I told him I'd get him a cat to take care of the nuisance!  I told him I'd have Lady Pink Bunny delivered to him the next day but he says he would not allow a kitten to live in his home.  I mean, truly!  He'd rather have rats?!  It was most disturbing!  And the silly rat kept eating the fruitcake I had been eyeing the whole time!  Ewww!

Before I left Jodas's home, we got into a conversation by his fireplace.  It seems he is troubled by Marr not speaking to him, especially during this holiday.  I told him maybe his god is testing him, maybe Mithaniel Marr wants to see just how faithful a paladin Jodas is.  Ironically, the next day  after having this conversation with Jodas, I decided to take on a role that I'm not normally accustomed to: Helping priestesses of Erollisi Marr.   They were distressed by the fact that Erollisi has yet to show her grace to them.  They were worried, and asked for my assistance in figuring out her whereabouts.  So, I enlisted to help them.  The quest took me to many places, unpleasant places.  And it was when I reached the gates to Befallen that a miracle happened.  Marr spoke to me!  Mithaniel Marr actually spoke to me through a beam of light that elevated me up in the air!!!  And no, he wasn't asking me out on a date for Erollisi Day.  He was truly speaking to me as if I were one of his devoted servants.  He, too, is worried about his sister's whereabouts.  It was quite exciting!  I'm thinking of becoming a convert...

Oh, speaking of Marr, did I mention that I am in love?!  Yes!  I am!  I'm so happy and excited about it!  But this time, I'm not telling a soul.  I can't say anything for many reasons, but I'll tell you one reason:  Menemas.   I'm afraid he'll destroy this relationship, too, with his fatherlier-than-thou guildhall-banning-all-my-suitors attitude!  I mean, if I wanted a second dad I'd....enlist my first dad.  He's impossible!  So yes, I'm keeping this one a secret....

And now, I will go daydream about him...

Goodnight dearest diary, till we meet again.

Thine,

~Lady Ana

PS.  Missa gave me one of those scandalous little dresses she's been wearing, claiming it was the latest style.  She had me try it out while I was visiting her.  Oh my!  It is quite provocative!  I don't know if I am brave enough to wear it in public, no matter how sexy decadent vampy posh I look...
