Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga. 

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds are forming, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in EQ2 so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

Just a reminder: after your first post you will be granted access to the private game related forums, such as questing and tradeskills.

Darvok CometStrike, Male Fae Wizard (good alignment).  Child of Tunare with some Ro tendencies.  I'm afraid I haven't tradeskilled much yet but I do enjoy harvesting the shinies.

Do you have alternate characters (freeport/qeynos/etc.) (horde/alliance/etc.) on the same server?
Darvok is my only toon and the highest level I have attained so far in EQ2.  Embarrassingly I do have a couple of lvl 80 Horde Characters on Terenas. 


How did you hear of us?
Through the Guild Search in game while looking for a good aligned, role playing friendly, casual style guild.


Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?
Met a bunch over guildchat, talked to a few in private chat and had the pleasure of questing in Lavastorm with Kudzoo, Jodas and Erendor.


What Roleplay games have you participated in?
Lot of D&D in High School - mostly Foregotten Realms but we mixed in some of the Dragonlance wizard order lore.  Did a bit of Ravenloft too.  Then I got hooked on Magic the Gathering for a while.  As far as MMO's it all started for me with DikuMUDS in college.  Then when Everquest came out in '99 I played that up through Scars of Velious.  Did a bit of stint in DAOC and came back to EQ up through Ykesha.  Then I moved onto City of Heroes.  There are a couple in there like Anarchy Online, SWG, Conan, and Shadowbane I'm going to try and forget I bothered playing.  The big two for me after City of Heroes were World of Warcraft and Everquest2.  My account has all the 5 year veteran claim rewards but I don't consider myself a vet.  I've been playing EQ2 off and on for a while.  Most of the people I knew were in WoW at the time but they've all since gotten bored.  So I got an e-mail from Sony saying EQ2 account was open for two weeks come try.  I just love the changes and can see myself staying for a long time.  I re-activated my subscription fully today. 

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?
To learn, grow, meet people who's company I enjoy both while questing/instance but also conversing.  Would like to see all of the group content for levels 55+ eventually.  Love the role playing atmosphere - it ads so much more on top of an already great game.  Something I haven't since sine the EQ days and certainly not in WoW.

Tell us of your past.
Well - I have these images of Faydark.  You see I was this forest spirit.  Memories... FEELINGS mostly.  Then one day that all changed.  Tunare talked about our new purpose and not being one to question the mother of all I set out to figure out my path through it all.  One of the first bonds I formed happened with an High Elf Wizard.  Quite an amazing fellow! He smelt of fire and ice and smoke.  The air seemed to crackle around him as he told me stories of far off lands.  I just couldn't get enough - I assisted in every way possible around his lab.  Day after day I poured through the arcane tomes that held endless wonders.  I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life!

What hobbies and directives do you presently have?
Cartography - I pride myself on seeing/mapping out every inch of Tunare's creation.  Even if it means running through the Shadow Value in LesserFay.
History - Tomes, Books, Diaries - I am a Lore buff.  With a specific focus on pre-cataclysm faydar.  I'm afraid my acorn is littered with them.  Perhaps you can recommend a good carpenter I'll be needed a few more shelves I think.

Where do you see yourself in the future?
Short term I would like to finish my arcane studies.  Untap some of the most powerful elemental forces Norrath has to offer.  Would like to have a family someday.. a nice place to call my own with little hatchling around fresh from the nursery.  I've got a lot of cleaning up to do before that happens however.   Why even just this very day in Kelethin I came across an orc scout.  <shakes his head and breaths out a heavy sigh>  Yes, much work to do.
