Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga. 

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds are forming, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family. To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message.

If, after your membership is accepted, you wish to become a Veteran you will be required to do a quest journal.  Your sponsor will prepare a journal for you with a question unique to you and place it in the Library within three days of your request to be considered for veteran status.  The quest requires that you interview at least three people who are of Member or better rank in game.  You will need to post their response and your reflections, if any, about the interview IC.  If you elect to apply for Veteran status, a majority vote of the leadership of the family at large is required to attain Veteran status.  You are not required to become a veteran if you do not wish to.

Just a reminder: after your first post you will be granted access to the private game related forums, such as questing and tradeskills.

I play Sashira, an Iksar Warden. She fled Freeport to live in Kelethin, side by side with the fae. She worships Tunare, and is currently working at becoming a provisioner.

Yes, I have a couple who will betray to Qeynos later.

How did you hear of us?

I hit the U button and guild shopped! Saga was the one that stood out for myself and Gremmik.

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?

Yes! I am quite fond of Konnar, Bella, and Renei and Siyo. I have met a few others, but so far I know those four the best. Everyone is so lovely in Saga!

What Roleplay games have you participated in?

Online: Everquest 1, World of Warcraft, Conan, Lord of the Rings Online, Vanguard, Champions Online, Warhammer Online, D&D Online and Neverwinter Nights 1.

Pen and Paper: D&D 3.5 and 4th edition, Vampire: The Requiem (Currently in two seperate Live Action Roleplaying groups), Scion, and Deadlands.

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?

A family to have fun with! I hope to roleplay and hang out with as many guildies as I can.

Tell us of your past.

[In Common] Yousssss may wantsss transsslator for thissss sssstory... <Sashira hands you a battered notebook. The writing within is in Sebelisian.> I was born and raised in Freeport. I had a normal childhood, according to those who have lived and died in that city. As I grew older, I discovered my connection with animals, and that which is green and growing. When I became a young adult, I opened my eyes to the world around me for the first time. My parents no longer seemed omnipotent, and my elders did not strike me as wise. The pain and suffering within Freeport was almost tangible.

I used to sit on a stone wall near the docks to watch the ships dock and set sail nearly every day. One of those days, an emaciated canine wandered into the area. For weeks, I watched him scavenge for meat and hunt any unfortunate rats who made an appearance at the wrong moment. After determining he was still losing strength, I stuffed some raw meat into a bag and brought it with me. I fed him meat, and this canine and and I slowly came to trust each other. Our friendship lasted for many months, until one of the militia noticed.

Sergeant Typhoeus of the Freeport Militia stormed around a corner and met us head on. He looked as if his entire body contained malice and venom. When he saw my surprised look and the canine by my side, he grinned wickedly. In horror, I watched as he roughly grabbed my companion. I willed myself to move, but my body did not respond. I watched as he carried my friend away. The canine lashed out at Typhoeus, ripping flesh from his throat and face. Typhoeus screamed in rage, and impaled my only friend upon his sword. As Typhoes marched away to tend to his wounds, I ran to the canine and fell to my knees. I embraced him as he drew his last breath. I screamed, I wailed. I lamented to the earth, the moon and the stars, wishing desperately to be apart from that horrible society. I let rip a wild cry; I howled. My scales became fur, two legs became four. In that moment, my purpose became clear to me. I had to escape the city.
