Attn TOR Pre-orders - Redeem Your Preorder Codes!

Okay, this bit me in the ass too, so I'm only sharing what I've just realized.

I pre-ordered TOR literally the day it was available.  Got my code, got my e-mail.  I heard that there would be headstart invitations based on the order of preorder.  I figured I was gold.

What I just realized, in poking around with my TOR website account, is that you need to actually redeem the damn code on their site!  Until you sign up with an account there, and do that, you don't count!

So for anyone else who's dumb like me, get to it!  And while you're there (since you need to make an account anyway) go ahead and apply to the guild we've got.

Hum, this is odd you didn't get a warning: I clearly remember my pre-order confirmation mail stated I had to enter the code on the TOR site...

I didn't say I didn't get a warning.  In fact I even said I might be dumb. Just pointing out that other people could be dumb too.  So far everyone who's joined the guild created their site accounts in August (I can see that) which means they couldn't have redeemed their pre-orders as they didn't have accounts before.  I'm not saying we didn't get warned ... just that my confusion on this point might apply to more than just me.

in my case i preordered, got the confirmation, then didn;t get a code to type in until about an hour or so later. then i managed to get it all done. i think it was the first day so maybe they were a bit swamped (non Dagobah related) but if you don;t get a code right away don;t panic.

Hmmm...I pre-ordered at Gamestop, and didn't receive any headstart code...will have to inquire about that.

Well, what you get isn't called a head start code in any clear way. I just got a "preorder confirmation code" or similar. But that's what you plug into yout SWTOR account to get the head start all the same.

Not glad anyone else got hung up here, but glad I'm not the only one all the same.

Hmmm...I pre-ordered at Gamestop, and didn't receive any headstart code...will have to inquire about that.

When i paid it off at gamestop, i got my code.

I did get a code and enter it, but this made me go check 

I've read a lot of forum posts from gamestop/best buy customers who didn't get codes.

When you check your account on the SWTOR site, it verifies whether or not you're signed up or not.

I recall you mentioning this a long time ago Vil.

I preordered the first day. I did not receive my pre-order code. Spent a week dealing with Game Stop customer service and got it and then registered it on the SW:TOR website. So I am 5 or 6 days behind everyone else who registered it the first day. Ah well.
