Reminds me that section 4 needs to be changed to include my reason for hanging with the Saga people IC. I don't actually have to change it much though as I made Gith in such a way that he adapts to IC situations quite well as he is not wholly devoted to the Jedi order and more of a rogue agent working in the shadows of the treaty of Coruscant. Been a while since I have edited this though.

I have some bad news for you...no Kel Dor at release. Maybe they can do something with the Legacy system  they will be implimenting, though.

Everything I've read (leaked info) is that all races that have been reported are the only race with the exception of the Cyborg.

I know Kel Dor will not be playable ... it sucks as everything in that bio is based around being Kel Dor. I can't just change the pictures [there are a lot of those alone] I would have to change his entire history and reason for training the way he did.

If the only races available at launch at the ones currently announced I guess I will be rolling a female twi'lek consular sage. A fully voice acted game = I like listening to female voices more.


And yes, to avoid misunderstanding, all may refer to me as Gith. I got used to it in DCUO with Gremlin [Vilidus] and there always seems to be a lot of Val's and Valgars around so Gith is fine by me on forums and on Vent/Team Speak/Mumble/whatever we get going for TOR once it launches and we need to communicate.

Hello all. It is high time I started one of these thread.

I am Val Gith. I am currently planning on playing a Gunslinger as my main with an alt Sage and Commando. This is, of course, subject to change.

I have a little RP thread going currently that will help associate you with Gith as well as my extensive RP Wiki that is his complete story except for that Kel Dor are not going to be available at launch but hopefully they will be later patches/expansions. Until then I am going to be somewhat ambiguous toward Gith's race in RP and simply refer to him as a man.

I am one of the younger members of Saga at a mere 25 years of age, birthday to come in a while. I work late currently but am looking to change my work situation from a job to a career sometime soon; I am in the process of doing that now. There is going to be some uncertainty in my life for a while come January so I might play TOR obsessively for a few weeks then disappear for a bit and let you all get way ahead of me While that would suck I do hope certain things work out in my favour that would perhaps cause me to disappear for 2-3 months.

Just call me Gith, it is what I am used to. It is a unique name that I never have trouble getting. I intend on RPing the three aforementioned classes all as Val Gith [they will be named variations of Val Gith: Gith, ValGith, Val-Gith [or something like that]]. Read my RP thread and you will see why that makes sense.

I know Vilidus in real life so please excuse some seemingly biting/rude comments directed toward him. He is cool and we should all feel blessed to have such a devoted, particular, and OCD leader for TOR. Organization is never going to be lacking with him so no worries there. And if I call him Gremlin don't mind, harkening back to DCUO.


I enjoy writing but more so editing. I challenge you to find a typo in my Wiki lol [there are probably a couple]. I am going to admit I will be light on the RP side of things but only in comparison. As you can tell from the Wiki and RP thread I am open to RP and it will probably depend on how active other people are and how much time people devote to it VS PvE progression. I am also not much for PvP unless I have completely run through all the PvE content and have all the best gear, which will not happen in TOR for a long time.

My favourite companion is a Jawa with a rocket launcher.

Yeah, we don't really have a standard.  Anything that turns into a welcome thread basically ... well, turns into a welcome thread.

We do have systems around here, but we turned a few on their ears for TOR.  And so far good results, I think.

Do you have alternate characters?

I am making multiple incarnations of Val Gith under the pretence that he often disguises himself to perform his job as an investigator. I only want to RP one character at a time so I will make them all look the same just with different clothing/weapons. But since you can wear any armour, even if it is not for your class, I can just change clothing when I want to RP and he will look the same.

I know Alstador from a previous RP guild.

I have played the paper and pen D&D. Not lately, more when I was young. I also played on a text-based RP chat for many years as a kid, also D&D.

Good group of chill and mature people to play games with.

1. Tell us of your past.

"I was once a Jedi. I don't really call myself one anymore, although I stay true to the code and continue to serve the Republic. I just got tired of all the politicking and posturing by both sides. The Sith are just biding their time before they strike the final blow to the Republic. We need to act now if we are going to have hope of surviving. That is why I left the Jedi Order; that is why I am currently considered MIA, whereabouts unknown after I decided to try to do what is right for the Republic on my own, free of the restraints of the Order and the politics between the Republic and the Empire. I am a rogue and honestly do not lose any sleep over it. I work better on my own anyhow. Other people are so noisy."

2. What hobbies and directives do you presently have?

"I am a servant of the Republic, even if I have left the Jedi Order. Previous to leaving the Order I was promoted to the rank of Jedi Master, although people lately just call me Gith. I specialized into becoming a Jedi Investigator given my talents as disguise, subterfuge, infiltration, and Force aided stealth. I gather information on criminal and separatist elements within the Republic and make sure the information makes it to the right hands; and if the Republic is unable or too corrupt to deal with it on their own, I deal with it myself in whatever way seems best. I realize that without outside monitoring and criticism I walk a thin line but I have so far managed to stay true to myself and my duty and I have no fears of ever falling from my path in life."

3. Where do you see yourself in the future?

"I see myself performing my duty to the Republic as best I can in my own way until the day I die. I am a Jedi in purpose if not in title. Perhaps one day I will rejoin the Order when politics and public opinion is not limiting its usefulness."
