Eshen

Hey everyone,

My name is Kael and I was recruited off of the SWtOR website by Vilidius. I actually co-led a guild with a good friend of mine who's going to join Saga along with a third member. We had ambitions on leading a guild based on a roleplay idea but after seeing what Saga had to offer we thought our enjoyment of the game would be maximized by joining forces. We still seek to create this ongoing roleplay in the guild and hopefully we can wrangle some interested players into it too. As of this moment, I don't have a complete character in my head just yet. I only know that he'll be a Jedi Knight on the path to becoming a Sentinel.

A little bit about me. I am in my late 20's and have sunk fully into the MMORPG genre. I've tried a lot of the big ones but oddly enough not EQ. I did WoW, EVE-Online, Champions Online, Star Trek Online, FFXI very briefly, and a bunch of others I can't think of at the moment. My interest with MMORPG is that I wanted to do the RPing which oddly enough lacked a lot of support so now that Bioware is promising that SWtOR will be focused around story my dream is coming true. I have an extensive roleplaying background. I did a lot of chat room rp, table top rp, a mix of the two, and free form rp. I have tried everything from superheroes to horror to ancient mythology to futuristic noir. If it's not obvious yet, I have a huge interest in writing and hope to eventually take it up as a profession. Oh, look. A little has turned into a lot about me. This is where I'll stop my life's story :) I hope to meet you all.

Vilidius

Welcome Kael!  Glad to have you on board.  I do expect the RP will start here somewhat in advance of the game itself.  For now we all just seem to be chattering endlessly at each other, but I guess we have months to wait so we want to avoid getting too over excited.

Glad to have you and your friend on board.  Let me know if the third is someone you know well enough to vouch for and their name if they'll be applying.

Cheers.

Please write an introduction to your character, including name, race, gender, class, alignment. If you tradeskill or have other talents, please include those as well.

Eshen Virol is a human male Jedi Knight. He follows the Jedi Code to the best of his abilities but his proficiency with the lightsaber, a trained tactical mind, and an apprenticeship that centred on identifying and hunting Sith has honed his mind, body, and personality into a deliberate and often brutal weapon. Those acquainted with his methods and skills recognize his development into the left hand of the Order. He works beneath the notice of the public and other Force-sensitives and only appears to either remove the red stain of the Sith or to accomplish tasks from the higher ranks of the Jedi Order. He walks a few steps along the Light side but tends to stray into the Dark side from time to time to accomplish his goals. His tradeskill will be Artifice supplemented by Archaeology and Treasure Hunting.

Do you have alternate characters on the same server?
Possibly an Imperial Agent on the Empire side when the game starts.

How did you hear of us?
Recruited by Vilidius

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?
Vilidius, Mixxi, and a bunch of TOR recruits

What Roleplay games have you participated in?
I cut my teeth and refined my roleplaying/writing skills with White Wolf published table top games: Vampire: the Masquerade, Mage: the Ascension, Werewolf: the Apocalypse, Hunter: the Reckoning, Demon: the Fallen, Exalted. I've created dozens of characters and written about a book's length worth of roleplay posts mostly in chats.

I've played D&D 3.5 and dabbled in other random d20 games.

In terms of video games, I'm a big Final Fantasy/Squaresoft fan starting from 6 up till the most recent one, 13. I skipped 11 because it was hard to get into. Xenogears was one of my favourites. Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre. More recently, I played Mass Effect 1 & 2, Dragon Age 1 & 2.

For MMOs, I've played WoW, EVE-Online, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Champions Online, Rift, Black Prophecy, DCUO, Star Trek Online

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?
A group of mature players who take roleplaying seriously and prize having fun, making friends, and are prone to random acts of kindness.

Have you read and agree to our Guild Policies and Guidelines?
Yes

Please answer the following three questions, IN CHARACTER:

Tell us of your past.

"My past... There are some parts of my life I wish to forget. My earliest childhood memory was in scavenging in the alleys of Nar Shaddaa. I know now that my escaping from that moon was both a miracle and a path that the Force chose for me. I owe much to the moon for teaching me the harsh lessons of life, especially to those unable to protect themselves. It is there that I learned to never accept defeat even in the face of utter death and despair. I owe much to the then Jedi Irino for providing me a hopeful future and later for showing me that for the Jedi, mistakes can have a heavy price.

I was apprenticed to Master Naraa who taught me the role of the Unifying force and the fragility of life in all its forms. She instilled in me the relationship of life, the Force, and the universe regardless of the different forms it takes. My martial skills were honed by Master Mot Sorn, Birin Qusas, and Rumarn who taught me a lightsaber form, the effectiveness of the Force in lightsaber combat, and dueling in difficult and alien terrain.

After that, I was sent to Tython to directly contribute without the presence of my master. I aided the Jedi council there in identifying a local threat to the Jedi temple and their connection to Imperial agents. I helped dismantle the Imperial effort to establish an outpost and delivered Imperial plans to the Jedi council. At the end of my duty there, I ventured to the Forge to create my first lightsaber. I was granted the title of Jedi Knight at that point and set forth on the journey that has led me here. You will forgive me for not divulging some of my more recent exploits. They are sensitive in nature.
"

What hobbies and directives do you presently have?
"I train my body and mind constantly to keep myself ready for combat. My education with the lightsaber is ongoing. My hobby, when I find the time for it, is in looking into the secrets of the past. I search for artifacts and relics that are connected to the Jedi order. My current directive is as it always was: hunt the Sith wherever they appear."

Where do you see yourself in the future?
"I do not indulge myself with thoughts on the future. My life can end at any time. I live for battle and wherever it takes me afterward."
