Hi,
I think this is the right place to put in a hello and app. If not sorry for the mix up.
Talked to Vil on the swtor forums and he pointed me in this direction.

I'm 30 years old, live in nova scotia, professional and been playing rpgs for a while.
My mmo history started with anarchy online, then moved to lineage 2 and city of heroes before settling on wow which i played until very recently. Dabbled in rift and eq2 for a while as well.

I'm looking for forward to playing tor when I get time to do so. My play time will be a touch haphazard but I look forward to enjoying the game especially the crafting aspect and the community aspect as well.

Not sure on which class Ill pick as of yet and I am considering leveling smuggler up first then rolling a Jedi consular once the legacy options are unlocked and making that my main. Time will tell especially since all the classes look great.

I'm pretty laid back, easy going and joke around but I do tend to be quiet and reserved at first. Hmm nothing else seems to come to mind but if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Rumze was still trying to finish applying when I'd already accepted him.  Maybe one day we'll have an application function here, but I don't think any survey (however good) can substitute for actually conversating with someone - even by pm.

Regardless, welcome!  You can help round out our Canadian contingent.  We're trying to bring a little more civility and poutine to SWTOR.  We'll see how it goes.

Saga Roster Card:

Introduction:

My character is a human male jedi shadow ( an advanced class for jedi consular ). He will be a kinetic talented shadow ( a tank , spec specifics to be expanded on but will most likely by 31 kinetic/ 10 balance as it stands ).
My crew skills will be artifice, archeology and treasure hunting.
My character will strive to do good and follow the jedi code, but he is not above some flirting. Current romance options are not available so until those are patched in, he will be single.

My character will be scholarly inclined, a hunter of knowledge and datacrons, he will strive to understand others and their cultures. He is not above partaking in cultural practices he deems require more indepth study and can get lost in thinking or studying, so at times can seem to be not interested in what is going on around him.

My characters name will hopefully be Bigby - legacy name will be Rumor. These are included last as they have to be finalised ingame.

At the moment, no and not for the forseeable future. My focus will be on my main character, with republic alts popping up later as I feel comfortable. They will be on the same server.

How did you hear of us?

I was actually looking for a republic home with an rp guild. My friends who I had known from my old mmo ( wow ) were all going imperial, and while I like them, it was not what I wanted. So I went hunting on the forums. There were a number of guilds that caught my eye, but Saga is the one I contacted. The spanning across games implied a stable core group of players who had gotten close and become friends , while the different games they played showed a depth and open mindedness when it came to roleplaying. After that, it was my interaction with vilidus on the boards that sealed the deal and led me to applying.

Is there anyone you have gotten to know in our family , Ic or Ooc?

I have gotten to know a few to some extent through forum interactions and mumble and a bit on beta: Val, Raven, Vil, Bjorn , Reborn and Timelady ( also my fellow drunk guy ). To be honest, Im not good at putting different voices and faces from the beta together with their specific forum names. This is an ongoing process and is currently all Ooc.

What roleplay games have you participated in?

I started roleplaying with pen and paper dungeons and dragons. My first online rp experience was light rp on the lineage 2 server of lionna. I then went on to Virtue on city of heroes and rped there lightly. I quit both games for Wow when that came out in december of 2004. I played on the pvp server Mal'Ganis originally and rped very lightly with a few friends and that was mainly on my side. I ended up moving to Moon Guard soon after the first expansion, and participated on and off in rp , dabbling in wirting stories but mainly doing pickup stories while fleshing out the characters I played. My main focus was learning the lore.
During my time in wow, I was a routine member of a pen and paper get together every sunday, and we played various systems, from dnd 3.0 to 3.5 ( forgotten realms to eberron ) , to Vampire, and variations of worlds created by our gurps dm.

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?

Im looking for a stable, long term place I can call my online home. No drama, easy casual environment, friendly faces, and rp when I have time to sit back and relax and just enjoy myself. I believe I have found this.

In Character Questions to answer: ( please note that my character hasnt flexed himself as of yet and is more nebulous so the following are subject to change as my character organically grows) :

Tell us of your past:

Where do I begin with this. Everybody wants something. This was true of me as well.
While some wanted to make a Hutt load of money , become pilots and have their own ship, my goals may have seemed a little less extravagant. I wanted to travel. I wanted to meet new people, see new ways of doing things, and see deserts and small trees, and jawas and seedy cantinas!
Growing up on Osarian, some folks told me I had no idea how good I had it. Believe me I knew it and I know it now. Just looking up at the sky and seeing Rhommamool would tell me that.
But everybody wants something. And my something was travel.

What hobbies and directives do you currently have?

Well, I wish to finish my training as a Jedi, and on top of that I want to experience any new cultures I have access to. This includes exploring some older ruins I have seen. My master tells me to know where we are going, we should know where we have come from, so I feel archeology would be a worthwhile pursuit to engage in. Stretch my mind as it were.
In addition, he believes working with lightsaber crystals will be an educational tool in helping focus my wandering ways. Not sure what he means but I will listen to his wisdom on this matter. I like the colors anyway, truth be told.
Also I would like to spend some time in the cantinas. There are some interesting conversations to be had there. Ahem, yes very interesting.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

Well, I would say that Id have travelled a bit, made some friends and learned more about various cultures. Hmm, perhaps have made some friends in various cantinas around the sector.
Also, I do like my colors. Maybe have built a collection of different lightsabers of various colors. That would be impressive, right? Ill have to see if my future cantina friends will be impressed.

My play time will be sporadic on and off especially over christmas when I have to visit relatives from the 23rd to 28th I think. But I will try to be on as much as I can and group with folks and participate in hunts.
