I'm trying a new experiment.  People are mocking me for making people start their own welcome threads.  The thing is ... I don't know what I can/should share about each of you.  So now my new plan is if I see you lurking around and you still haven't figured out to start your own welcome thread I'm going to start one and then point you at it.

Yes, I know it's strange.  It's a product of the fact that we're recruiting off this site and then sending people here, when our systems were never built for that.  Post-launch it should probably be more normal.

Hi everyone! It's good to meet you all and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. Little bit about me:

I'm a thirty-something married guy (12 years last month!). I'm a lifelong gamer with plenty of experience in MMOs, having played WOW, City of Heroes, Champions Online, Guild Wars, STO, and LORTO. I'm a lifelong Star Wars geek (no joke, my parents took me to see ANH when I was three years old) and I've been a role player for a VERY long time. I'm part of a pen and paper RPG group that's been playing for about a decade as both a player and a GM. As for computer gaming, I tend to play MMOs between playing single-player RPGs, depending on when new games come out and how fast I get through them. That trend will probably reverse itself come December . I read a lot (just finished Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, which is a great, fun read for geeks my age), and I'm a graphic artist/illustrator/doodler.
