What is the lineage for YOUR character?

Awww. You got to come up with more than one--that's where it gets difficult. Like, I can say "Mixxi is Vimes," but it gets tougher when I have to come up with what influenced different facets of her character.

I didn't think much of DS9 either but you're not allowed to make fun of me for not having seen Star Wars now.

I see Dax as a very mutli faceted character. She has tons of history but is born again every generation or so, and as such appreciates anything thats extraordinary .
Bigby is kind of like Dax in that he may be worldly but he doesnt realise in some things he is very much innocent.

I'm afraid I'd have to consider missing the last few seasons of DS9 to be an even more heinous crime than missing A New Hope.  Star Wars is iconic, but DS9 was just plain awesome.

While I disagree that DS9>Star Wars, I did like DS9 as a whole series very much.

And honestly, I didn't combine anything else, Maybe a combination of Worf and Elsbet?

I have seen all of DS9 and wasn't particularly impressed. It had its moments but overall I felt it was lacking as a series.

Star Wars: A New Hope, I have not yet seen so there is no way for me to fairly compare the two, though I suspect it will be superior to DS9. I shall provide an answer upon my watching it, which is scheduled for the future.

I definitely preferred the latter seasons of DS9 over the earlier years, but the episode "The Visitor" moves me more than any other.
