Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in GW2 so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

As an Initiate, you should now have access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crafting disciplines.

I want to be clear that we are not poaching Xer from Destiny's Hammer. Destiny's Hammer is still the home-away-from-home for Saga in GW2. He does want to be a part of the larger Saga family, though, and participate on the boards and in other games (like TSW). We are not in a position to have Saga as a viable tag in GW2, and we continue to do everything we can to support Destiny's Hammer and the kind folks who have welcomed the Saga refugees. While this is not a hidden application,  it might  be good not to make a big deal about it in case it's misinterpreted.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome! Let me fill out this roster card before I get sidetracked by the excitement of so many new faces...

Character Name: Magiere Mellin Djenor
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Profession: Guardian
Alignment: Lawful-Neutral
Crafting Professions: Jewelcrafting (IC) Cooking (Semi-IC)

Brief Bio: Mags was raised in Lion's Arch for the great majority of her life, and still centralizes most of her activity there. She has gone from serving in the Lionguard, to performing questionable mercenary work, to taking up her father's old tradeskill of jewelcrafting. Most recently, she's served as a liaison for the Hammer Order, a guild of loosely connected craftsmen and soldiers. Most of her time is dedicated to a for-hire mercenary group that she started with Parth Silvershire, with whom she is romantically connected.

She is headstrong and business-oriented, playing things typically close-to-chest. When alone with close friends, she tends to be much more open.

I do! Xerali Narisdottir (norn ranger), Ghorrenn (sylvari warrior), Piper Stilwell (human thief), Callo Stilwell (human mesmer), and Argento Scalehide (charr necromancer).

How did you hear of us?
From all of the lovely Saga-ites that I've been gaming with in Destiny's Hammer for the past few months.

Is there anyone you have gotten to know from our family, IC or OOC?
Yes! I've come to know many Saga members and their characters. (Raven Miles, Jasyn (Doc Wiffle), Tuppen's menagerie of characters, Talon (Ewin), Mixxi (Keyes and Rafe Harkner). If I have missed anyone, I sincerely apologize!

What Roleplay games have you participated in?
GW1, though I did not roleplay there. My MMO roleplay took place in World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, and now, Guild Wars 2.

What are you looking for as a member of our guild?
I have a deep love of deep characterization, and hope to participate in and contribute to the Saga Family's RP. I also love all facets of the MMOs I play, from RP to PvE to PvP. I dig it all. When it comes to PvE, I'm something of a min-maxer, and love learning the ins and outs of challenging group content. I've had a few years' worth of party-lead and raid-lead experience, also.

Gods, is that where we have to jump in first? Mm...I was in the Lionguard. Dishonorably discharged. I can speak more on the experience if I must. Days late, I spend a lot of time around L.A. The Hawkguard Company, a merc group south of the city, we do good work, there. Honest work. I'm a Lieutenant. If you need any filigree, gem-work, I'm your girl. I've worked with enchantments, too, so don't hesitate.

What hobbies and quests do you presently have?
Quests? *she chuckles* Suppose I don't have much to make up for. Some family trouble came up, lately, but I'm dealing. Hawkguard work hsa been dangerous, but just the way we like it.

Where do you see yourself in the future?
Future? That's another tough one. Happy where I am, you know? Maybe married. Tell anybody that...well...Grenth's clutches are waiting, hm? *she chuckles again* Teasin', of course.
