Cyrian was just talking to me on our Team Speak and had a lot of good things to say about you guys.  So, I decided to drop in, join and say hello.

I started playing Everquest back when Ruins of Kunark came out.  I played pen and paper D&D for years before that.  I have enjoyed many many MMORPG's.  I am kind of distracted right now.  I am in the Everquest Landmark Beta and would LOVE to meet up with some people.  I am not much into building but I do like to mine and can help people by gathering materials for them.

I am going cut this off short and come back later and have a complete thought.

Thanks for the badger!  Badgers are cool.  Though I really prefer honey badgers!  Like this one  here.

Anyway, just to show my age, I started out gaming on an RCA or Magnavox, not sure which, TV with the paddles for Pong.  A few years later I was given a Tandy TRS 80 Color Computer 3 complete with the printer and the tape drive.  From there came the Atari and other game consoles.  blah blah blah

I have just really really tired of the complete lack of older gamers out there now.  While a lot of people have moved on I have just moved up.  The problem is that almost all of today's games are so simplistic and easy and lack any real form of a challenge.  I really miss the difficulty of EQ.  However, what I miss the most of my first MMO is the community that we had.  Not just within our guild but the server as a whole.  It was really nice to have your friends list.  To be on people's friends lists.  To log in and immediately get tells asking you to join a group.  To actually be "known" for being good at your class or for being bad.  People knew people.  It was nice.  Not like today's MMO's where people just s**t on each other because no one knows who they are and no reputation follows anyone.  The world of huge numbers of players and little to no interaction. 

I really dislike being in a group for an hour and not even one word being said.  I like to be social.  I like to chit chat while working.  Not that I let that distract from my job.  But really?  Not a singe word from any player in an hour?  Wow...

I just wanted to take a little bit more time to tell you guys where I am coming from.  Hopefully, I will at least get to see some of you in Landmark.  Or Wildstar, or some fun new game!  Maybe I might even go back to playing LOTRO or RIFT or something that you guys are currently active in.

Welcome to the Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in Wildstar so they can get to know you. You have two weeks to fill it out, then we'll remind you and give you a two-week extension. 

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds have formed, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

As an Initiate, you should now have access to the private game related forums, such as questing and crafting disciplines.
