This was an earlier tweet saying that it was a visual bug if it showed your name as not saved.

Hey all,

Its safe to say things did not go as planned today and we understand that this sucks for those that have Pre-ordered and that have been excited for Name Reservations.  Our immediate action will be to take Name Reservation down.  For us, this is a number one priority to get this resolved.

Check back to our forums and social sites for more updates.  We are working to make this right.

I never watched Dinobots. Ah well.

I found Tecta (which is never taken) by looking through weird chemical and medication names. Actually a good source for random and sometimes cool sounding names. Tecta is actually a stomach acid medication apparently

Yeah, it was more of an 80s child thing.
  I agree with you, I spend hours on Wikipedia when I need a new name.

I'll miss Grimlock. I might try it again at launch and see if I get lucky. Noctus isn't so bad. A spin on the Latin - Nocturne - which fits a Mordesh character.

It's as iconic as you've got the touch song from the transformers movie ( animated and first )

I typically get my character names by plugging a characteristic into Google Translate and trying various languages until I get something I like the sound of.

Also use the method I posted on top of page 5 to see if your name is reserved , if you get numbers in the results then you are good .
Although the Devs tweeted that it's a server error , I'd double check to make sure .
Hopefully by now the bugs have been worked out and everyone is good
