RP Idea / Adventure Run

Alys would like to go out into Galeras to fight the Dominion, but for some reason the FCON forces are leery about having an untrained blind girl wandering around with a large gun. More importantly, she promised Captain Caupona that she wouldn't. What she needs is a way to prove her capability in a safe environment. If only there was some sort of simulation...

So what I would like is some kind of RP gathering where someone can tell Alys about the SimCore, and then we can actually go play the Hycrest Insurrection as an in-character group. That certainly does not have to be the only purpose of the gathering, and it need not be a pre-planned party. People running into each other in a bar would work fine.

This is not meant to be my Veteran Project, as it's an idea I was mulling before I was promoted to member.

I would love to tag along for that but I am back to work for the next 7 days so I am out for the week. I will only be on to open boomboxes and quick stuff like that. But next weekend I would be down for this if it has not already occurred.

If Im on , Id really love to go actually. Heck - I think this opens up at level 15, so Ill level up a character specifically for this - I may actually want to go on my granok female engineer.

I have no issue with going.  Milner could probably mention it to her since he just went through IC (with you guys) and actually knows her.  Shaylene knows Alys but is dealing with the night club currently IC, so unless I have some kinda event there (might at some point) she probably won't be involved in much for a short time.
I'm generally available weekday nights mostly except fridays.  Also I'll be posting a seperate thread about my schedule in a sec.

I am also down for participating. While I don't think any of my characters have been introduced to Alys, this could be a good opportunity. Zenwick is also sight-impaired so that might be an interesting circumstance. Plus he can heal, yay!

Yes, thanks for joining us. We probably won't be able to continue tonight, as Miiko and I are going to a show, but we'll likely be playing Wednesday and Thursday. We'll keep and eye out for you two, and hopefully round up a fifth. And the delay is actually easy enough to explain.

"What do you mean, the Caretaker took the night off?" Alys sputtered at the XAS tech. "I have never even heard of Tanabata."

Alys quelled her frustration and turned back to the rest of the group with a sigh. "I do apologize for bringing you all this way for nothing. But thank you for offering to help, and I hope I can contact you when I am able to make another attempt."


Alternately, the Caretaker could consult his book and then look condescendingly down at them. "I am so terribly sorry, but we are completely booked up for the evening. You really should have made a reservation. I suggest using OpenTable."

Milner continplates hacking the caretaker, but heard the last person who tried got eletrocuted to dust.  He mumbles about wondering how many volts does it take to turn someone to dust.

The Adventure was successfully run, and we even managed to get Gold despite often stopping to roleplay. Thanks to everyone who participated, and I look forward to more fun together. Still need to buy that round of drinks!

Yes it was very fun! And it was a good way to get to know some details about other characters, too. Sometimes it's not so easy in a social drinking setting. I look forward to other RP get-togethers like this! Thanks for organizing it, Alys.
