Lucan pays Anaris a visit in Qeynos...

[Anaris]

((So in the spirit of the Heroes' Festival, I had Anaris, who's clearly off her meds, walk about town greeting and "thanking" everyone for coming to "her" party.  Some of you got to witness her slow descent into dementia but for those who didn't see her during the Heroes' Festival, she was basically going up to people saying she was "honored" that they were "honoring" her, and letting them know they should go see "Toni" should they need anything to make their time at "her" party more fun.  She then would throw tantrums at the people surrounding the "attention-stealing" Ratonga (for the Assassin arrest quest), and became highly paranoid of Gnomes, saying that Lucan was sending Gnomes to "explode" her in retaliation for her rejecting his romantic advances. It was a lot of fun and I got a lot of responses and fun interaction with other players, but the one below really stood out, because, well...it was Lucan!  (kinda)...))


It starts off with Anaris looking up at the Claymore monument and seeing that there was someone, a Human man, who dared stand at a higher elevation than she.

Zurick regally waves at Anaris.
Anaris raises an eyebrow at Zurick!
Zurick snickers at Anaris.
Zurick stretches lazily at Anaris.
You say, "Excuse me but you are not to be in an elevation higher than mine!  Who gave you permission to perch up there?"
Anaris frowns at Zurick.
Zurick dances.
You say, "And you're a terrible dancer to top it off!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Well, my good lady... your kind words have touched me"
Anaris:Anaris\/a tilts her head.
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Thank you for you concern for my lofty place"
You say, "I.....what?"
Anaris:Anaris\/a squints at Zurick.
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I did not ask if it was ok, I let the muse take me where I may wander"
Zurick bows.
You say, "Well, tell your friend the muse that it clearly doesn't know Qeynosian hierarchy very well...."
Anaris nods at Zurick.
Anaris:Anaris\/a wonders if maybe he named his horse "The Muse"...or maybe he meant "the mule?".
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I know this must seem odd to you good lady..."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "for once, you must look up your nose to someone else, instead down upon everyone like usual"
Anaris glares menacingly at Zurick!
Zurick gestures at Anaris, Who me?!
You say, "Well I am certainly NOT looking up to you, I'm looking up AT you!"
You say, "And, quite frankly, you need a better tailor.  That ensemble is soooo 3850..."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Really, from my vantage point it does truthly appear in an upward direction that your gaze is upon me..."
You say, "Erm...I mean 3820!"
You say, "Preposterous! As if I'd want to gaze at your well-toned, bronzed biceps!  As if!"

*Here he changes from cloth to plate red armor.*

Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Is this more befitting a warrior of Qeynos my lady?"
Anaris nods at Zurick.
Zurick thanks Anaris.
You say, "Although I have to add, the red makes you look rather evil..."
You say, "It's very Lucanic-looking.  And, you know, between you and I, Lucan hates me...."
Anaris nods at Zurick.
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "But my lady, I am evil....  I spend my days traveling Norrath, meeting new and exciting creatures and killing them.."
Anaris gasps at Zurick!
You say, "For shame!"
Zurick sneers at Anaris!
You say, "What kind of person goes around killing new and exciting creatures!  You should be arrested!"

*Here he suddenly dons one of those Lucan masks, but, of course, to Anaris it's as if he removed a mask and it's really Lucan!

You say, "AAAH!"
You say, "Lucan!  You scoundrel!  I told you I'm not going to Freeport to be your concubine!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "At last my dear Anaris, within your own home I shall never stop stalking you..."
You say, "You!!!!  I knew it all along! You tricked me!!!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Your kind has been a plague too long upon my rightful lands......"
You say, "GUARDS!  Help!!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Tricked you, simple child"
You say, "How could you?!   "
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "You pratically stepped onto my axe..."
Zurick shows his weapon to Anaris.
You say, "I thought you cared about me somewhere deep in your undead heart!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Oh my dear Anaris, that was carved out long ago..."
You say, "But....Lucan!  Bunnypie!  It's me!  Anaris!  Your beloved Baby Badger! "
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "A badger? a furious little woodland creature always willing to bite you when you try to pet it"
You say, "I thought you liked the biting!"
Anaris pouts at Zurick.
You say, "Lucan!  Dearest!  Just...remember the good times!  Remember back when we use to hide around Kithicor Forest and throw rock at traveling Halflings?"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Yes I do... that was before you got this good streak in you."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Back when we use to punt gnomes over the Wall running through Enchanted lands"
You say, "Hey!  Don't fault me for moving to a cleaner city! Had you done something about the rat problem in Freeport, and banned all Trolls from relocating, I'd have stayed with you!"
You say, "Oh, that was fun...Gnome punting.."
Anaris:Anaris\/a bats her eyelashes at "Lucan".
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Trolls are people too my dear.  Sure they are smelly, ugly, gross creatures that you never want to be around, but they are loyal..... as long as they are fed.."
You say, "But Lucan! That is precisely why you lost me!  You chose the trolls over me!  Have you any idea all the weight I gained from all the chocolates I had to eat because of your insolence?!"
You say, "By the way, I lost most of that weight.  I haven't eaten in three years."

You say, "Lucan!  Dearest!  Bunnypie!  You were always The One!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a offers Anaris a piece of Ravasect Meat to chew on.
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Try that, they aren't bad for insects.."
Anaris:Anaris\/a eyes the meat, "Um.....I'm on a diet still....".
Zurick is ashamed of Anaris.
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "You shouldn't starve yourself"
You say, "Well don't forget it was you that called me fat!"
You say, "Now you think I'm too skinny?!  Why can't I ever please you"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "No no dear, what I said was you don't sweat much for a fattie.  I still don't see how you could take offense."
You say, "And, you wouldn't even let me choose your title...Overlord??? Really??  You honestly expected me to agree to that??  Overlady Anaris sounds....naughty at best!"
Anaris gasps at Zurick!
You say, "You toy with my feelings again, Lucan!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "But I have to be honest three years of not eating..."
Anaris:Anaris\/a cries dramatically.
Zurick shows Anaris what he is thinking about!
Anaris:Anaris\/a pauses mid-tears, "Really?  Like what you  see?".
Anaris winks at Zurick.
Zurick gives Anaris the thumbs-up!
You say, "Well...you know....I do try...."
Anaris:Anaris\/a primps.
Zurick smiles at Anaris.
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I was always a sucker for you..."
You say, "Oh, you!"
Anaris:Anaris\/a blushes at "Lucan".
You say, "Does this mean you'll stop sending Ratonga and Gnome assassins after me?"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I do have something to tell you...."
You say, "Oh?  What is it Lucan?"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I have been hunting alot in Mistmore Castle as of late..."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "There was an accident.."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Honey, I am a Vampire..."
You say, "And.....don't tell me you fell in love with a vampire banshee!"
You say, "LUCAN!"
You say, "How could you!"
You say, "I liked you better as a lich !"
Anaris:Anaris\/a slaps "Lucan".
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Well, she was really hot.... my dear Anaris"
You say, "You betrayed me!"
You say, "For a vampire wench nonetheless!  What does she have that I don't have?  At least I've a pulse!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I send hordes of Ratonga Assassins, forgiven..... I mess around with 1 vampire wench and now I have betrayed you."
You say, "You....fiend!  Wait till I tell your Freeport Knights, too!"
You say, "Well, it's different!  You didn't engage in any lewd or lascivious activities with the assassins......right?"
Anaris raises an eyebrow at Zurick!
You say, "This will not go unpunished, Lucan!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I know, I know... how do you think I feel.  I think my hearing is going.  She mumbled something naughty about suction and I guess I didn't hear that part about blood."
You say, "It's as if our entire relationship was based on lies!  What will the people of Freeport think when they find out ther Overlord has vampire cooties?!"
You say, "Well, you -are- rather old, Lucan.  "
Zurick stretches lazily at Anaris.
You say, "You could be Toni's great-great-grandfather."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I dont feel old, I feel renewed..."
You say, "And I feel cheated!  I'm supposed to be the love of your undead life!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I have come to offer you my \aITEM -261033320 1414895014:a vampiric incisor\/a so that you may join me.."
You say, "If I chose not to join you in ruling Freeport what in Marr's name makes you think I'll join your pint-sized vampire cult?!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Think of it Anaris, you will never be fat again, blood is good and healthy..."
Zurick rubs his hands together, scheming with Anaris.
Anaris gasps at Zurick!
You say, "Yo called me fat again!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "You know how to make a guy feel small dont you.  This is what you wanted wasn't to look down on me."
You say, "Hmmmm I do have to admit that part about never being fat again does sound....appetizing...."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "My dear Anaris, again we are fighting.  Our love is not to be."
You say, "But no!  I must resist the temptation!  "
Anaris gasps at Zurick!
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "You are too goodie goodie..."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I have tasted bad and my dear it is delicious...."
You say, "Lucan!  We are back to where we started!  Why must fate be so cruel!  YOU should've been king and I should be up there on the steps of the castle wearing the minxy little get-up Toni has on..."
Anaris:Anaris\/a points toward the castle steps at Queen Antonia.
You say, "But nooooo you chose to become a fallen paladin and run my father out of the Militia with all the other paladins, forever making us star-crossed lovers of legendary proportion!"
You say, "Although, you've to admit, it's a nice deal.  That our forbidden romance is the stuff of storybooks."
Anaris nods at Zurick.
You say, "I think there's a novel about us in Maj'Dul somewhere."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "This place is not my home, these people are not my friends, give me Freeport.... where your blade and your nerves must be sharp as a razor.  You have no knowledge of how it is to live on the edge.  You sit peacefully behind your walls of lies."
You say, "But you liked that about me!  That's why you called me your Baby Badger.."
Anaris:Anaris\/a pouts dramatically.
Anaris nods at Zurick.
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "I am sorry my dear Anaris, I must go now..... the sun is rising, I must seek shelter for the waiting day.  Sleep well Anaris, I shall most likely kill you this evening.  If not I then one of my assistants."
You say, "But...but....."
Zurick bows to Anaris.
You say, "Well, should I dress up then?  the red dress?  It'd make a very pretty death dress....  Should I alert the media and paparazzi about my imminent death? I –am- a celebrity after all."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "The scorchin sun waits for no vampire my dear."
You say, "Goodbye Lucan!  You may kill my body but you will never kill my spirit!!"
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Red will match the other colors about you when I am done..."
Zurick:Zurick\/a says, "Until tonight....."
You say, "Oh, and say hello to your sister for me!  Tell her I still have the bracelet my mother borrowed 570 years ago!"
Anaris nods at Zurick.
Zurick:Zurick\/a calls forth his Hellish Stead.
You say, "I shall await my fate with a pretty dress....and the press."
Anaris nods at Zurick.
Anaris waves goodbye to Zurick.
Zurick waves goodbye to Anaris.
You say, "Goodbye Lucan!  May Marr be...with you?"
Anaris:Anaris\/a tilts her head and ponders this last statement.

((For the record, she -was- trying to sweet-talk him so he wouldn't kill her on the spot (she was wearing white, after all!  messy messy). But then she realized that if she were to die on the eve of "her" party it'd make spectacular headlines.

I've just decided she's crazy...as in, needs to be medicated, possibly committed, suffering from severe schizophrenia (paranoia, delusions of grandeur, wild mood swings, etc...)  I guess she always has been but, ya know, symptoms get worse with age!))

Well, if you had to pick a mental illness "delusions of grandeur" is probably the one I'd pick too. From the few accounts I've read on it, it makes you feel better about everything than is really possible for a sane person. If Doc can just treat the wild mood swings and the paranoia (or at least treat those first) that would probably be for the best.
