Hi everyone.

I'm Ana's brother, in case no one remembers/knew/cares.

I've been working on getting EQ2 playable on my Mac (not booting Windows, I mean natively) so I can play it for a week and inevitably get tired of it just like I did when it first came out. I managed to get EQ working on OS X and even went so far as to be able to 3-box with great performance.

Anyway, I'm wondering if one of you guys can send me a DirectX DLL file that you're using which is working for you. It should be in your Windows/System32 directory and called something like dxdx9_##.dll where ## is your current version. I've tried with 34, 36, and 37 without success. I modified a 36 and was able to log in but the entire top half of my screen refuses to render (I see all black and wireframed characters, no textures.)

If someone can send me a DirectX DLL that IS NOT dxdx9_34.dll, dxdx9_36.dll, or dxdx9_37.dll I'd appreciate it. Please send it to me@orlandodefrias.com

Well I tried, honestly tried!
I sent you a gazillion mails, probably all with wrong files in them. You have half Windows on your PC if you open them all, but mayyybe just maybe the right file is in there.. somewhere... hidden...

Chika just sent me a whopping 26 files which crashed my iPhone (twice.) I guess you could say that's excessive, but I won't do that.

Are all those from your computer? I'm sure one of them is bound to work. If it doesn't, well, you're zero help. ZERO.

You hafta forgive Eni. He's one of those characters like boys in middle school who are mean to girls they like. I'm sure he appreciates the help, it's just he can't admit anything remotely like warm feelings or it would detract bad ass/boy points. :p

No, the cute wine glass kitty lives on. That's his brother. Wine glass kitty is suffering from some mild depression because of the loss of his brother but otherwise he's fine.

Aww... Sorry to hear about the kitty..! he looks so cute.

About the files, well I hope one indeed works. You did hurt my feelings with your post, thought you were actually angry while all I did was try to help. Wich, of course made me angry at myself, for trying to help with things I have no clue about.

Now i can see my attempts to help were maybe appreciated after all *grins* well... if I added the right file. If not, I gladly send you another 26.

Tried 3 so far, still nothing. One of them did make every texture pink which was awesome/terrible.
