You may have seen her lurking around here a bit, while she got to know us. I'm pleased to say TimeLady has taken the time to know Saga probably more than most applicants, so don't be surprised if she knows your secr ... I mean your habits ... more than you'd expect.

Otherwise I'll let her introduce herself. But I felt like she might be a bit shy so I thought I'd get the ball rolling.

Please note - all the rest of youse can continue to start you own "welcome" threads. Don't expect me to be coddling the lot of you.

Hi,

I'm a new member in SWTOR, and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a college student studying Speech Language Pathology and Linguistics. I have a little bit of experience playing WOW, but I have never been in an active MMO guild before. I've also never done RP in an MMO, but I have been playing Pen and Paper RPGs for a couple of years. I look forward to getting to know all of you here on the forums and in the game.

I have been reading the forums for a while, and I am very excited to finally be a part of the family. I plan to create a couple of characters once the game launches, but I have included the profile for the first character I plan to roll below. She's based on a character I play in a friend's Star Wars d20 game.

Name: Catri Sage
Race: Human
Class: Smuggler (Scoundrel AC, Sawbones spec)
Age: 27
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Personality Traits: Loyal, Friendly, Laid back
Character flaws: Stubborn, Sometimes becomes defensive too quickly
Background: Catri and her four brothers grew up around their father's machine shop on Nar Shadaa. Catri learned to fix ships watching her father and oldest brother around the shop. She learned how to fix people when she started doing odd jobs for a family friend in his clinic at age twelve. By the time Catri was eighteen she had a basic knowledge first aid and mechanics. Shortly after her eighteenth birthday one of Catri's brothers won a beaten up old ship in a pazaak game. The Sages fixed the ship up, and the rest, as they say, is history. Catri's oldest brother stayed in the machine shop to help their father, but within a few years four out of the five Sage siblings were running a successful "perfectly legitimate, 100% legal shipping business" with two ships and business contacts all over the galaxy.

Good to see another sawbones! Hopefully we can keep these hot-headed Jedi on their feet. Honestly, the lack of self-control is staggering. They say that Han shot first, but I'd be willing to bet that Obi Wan would have beat him to it if he hadn't been busy buying drinks for Luke at the bar.

True that...just look at how quick ObiWan was to whip out his lightsaber and chop a guy's arm off in the middle of a crowded bar. That's a great idea when you're trying to sneak past the stormtroopers who are looking for your droids....make sure no one on the planet will forget you any time soon.
