Welcome to Saga guild!

Please be sure to read the posts stickied at the top of this forum and be sure you agree with the rules and charter. This guild has a history, as you will see. It is, well, a Saga.

Saga is also part of a multi-game guild formed when a few wandered off to try other games. Sister guilds are forming, and we all come here to check on each other. This multi-game guild is currently called SagaFamily. We are indeed a family.

To become part of that, please take the time to fill out the attached roster card and post it to this message. This procedure is for the others here who will not see you in EQ2 so they can get to know you. You do not have to fill the roster card out to be part of Saga in-game. You can do it now or in the future. You can fill one out even if you do not wish to join the larger family. There is no pressure, and no rush. Take your time and look around.

Just a reminder: after your first post you will be granted access to the private game related forums, such as questing and tradeskills.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome!

Adeste

Salla

I am Salla, a female Dwarven paladin of Rodcet Nife who lives in Qeynos.  I'm going to one day learn the craft of armorsmithing, but for now, am adventuring constantly for glory, adventure, friendship, and gold...maybe a platinum piece....in a few years?

OOC

No alts for now.

After Adeste the monk helped me in defeating a River Behemoth and claiming a Gnoll chieftain's head, she invited me to the Saga roleplaying channel which I found enjoyable, especially Caladril, whose lack of humor was humorous.  It wasn't long after that I asked Adeste if there was any way into the actual Saga guild and poof, I was there, and it was good.  Everyone has been extra kind and treated me like they'd known me to the point where hours of their time would be spent helping me with AQ's and other random needs I had.

Adeste and her alts, Caladril, Alanni and her alts, and so many other people I think I've already become very friendly with and I'm sure just being a part of this guild has improved me as a person, allowing me to make more friends like Glerin and Stiffel outside of the guild.

The roleplay games I've played other than EQII are the original EQ from after the PoP expansion was released until the instanced dungeon expansion was released then I drooled over EQII for probably half a year or more.  When I became bored of EQII for a bit, I played City of Heroes, which I found one of the most care free MMO's I've ever personally played, almost everyone on there is willing to spend hours and hours just chatting, holding costume contests, and having special events for no particular reason, which was a very cute and awesome adventure.  Actually going on missions was secondary to spending time with some good people.  Then after about 3 months of CoH, I went back to EQII and played off and on until now.

As a member of this guild, I hope that I continue to have friendships with everyone I meet that will grow constantly, also, I hope that I will be able to help out the people who helped me through my teens and 20's, and other characters that need help in and outside of the guild.

I read through "most" of the guild rules and policies, I skimmed the more boring parts about "do not set fire to Halfling holes, ect" But I did understand, be a nice player, a good roleplayer, and above all a decent human being, and I should be fine.  Also, I agree with them.

IC

I was raised in a Dwarven mine by my father who could barely be called that.  My real mother I never met, since when I was born, I was taken from her, but my father let it be known that she was a common miner who meant nothing to him, while my life and marriage/servitude to one of the other Dwarven lords would win him more land and power.  While wearing a chastity belt, eating gruel, and living underground, working my fingers to the bone mining would be adventurous and glamorous to most Dwarven princesses, it just wasn't for me.  At the age of 13, I ran away from home, escaping in an outgoing minecart with extremely heavy ore on top of me, but I was hearty enough to survive.  I spent over a decade traveling to destroyed ruins, looking for a place to live.  All of the glamorous homes of Knights, soldiers, and my favorite subject to read about while trapped in my father's mine was Paladins.  For the past year of my life, I've worked on several ships, drifting from mission to mission, simply to get free travel to unknown ports.  I was but a mere deckhand, and not the most popular one amongst the normally human sailors who disliked having a woman and even more so, a Dwarf on their ships, so I never picked up the sailer lingo, nor do I want to.  Eventually I arrived on the Isle of the Queen and after listening to a moving statue of her speak of her city, Qeynos, I was moved too.  I had read so much of Qeynos and from the ruins I explored, I was suprised it still existed!  I spoke to Murrar Shar and after telling me; of course you can be a paladin, silly girl! and sending me to the armory to fetch the armor and weapons of a paladin, as well as a book on how to harness the powers of the gods, I was living my dream.  It wasn't long until I arrived in Qeynos and now I'm part of the Saga.

I plan on living up to what I tell people, of being the greatest Dwarven paladin in Norrath.  I don't consider that statement egotistical or self-centered, since the best way to become a great paladin, is made through sacrifice, and I'll do everything I can to help anyone in need, be they Qeynosians, exiles, or even Freeportians.  Long as they don't want to kill me, pillage the countryside, ect.

I will be a great Paladin and I intend to help out our world with whatever strength I have to offer.
