So, apparently, despite my not realizing my earlier attempts were unsuccessful until the middle of the night, apparently nobody else in the world was interested in the name Nobby.  Score!

Sounds like most people were able to get names they are happy with and I am glad. And after double checking, my names are good as I was also reserving for someone else. I spent way too much time trying to sort that out yesterday and am just glad it's over.

Reserved the player name "Askari" (probably not my main, but it always feels weird seeing others with that name).

Also reserved the guild name "Eldar Saga", just in case anything weird happens with guild name reservations.

So can people confirm which guild names (and characters if they so care) we have reserved now that the site has calmed down?

I just reserved a silly name for a Dominion alt guild if required.

We have The Saga, eldar saga and saga family for sure I think.

Also when we create the guild we will double check to see if saga is taken on our server as well , since it may have been used on another server and if it's used by then, it will unlock for us .

Either way, we are good to go !

Do you have a source for that? I got the impression that everything is locked until the 17th whether it is used or not.

I reserved "Dominion Surveyors Office" thought it would be a good RP name with a broad premise. I was also thinking about "Shadow Saga" for a dark side guild name. On a side note & at the risk of taking this thread off track (ill create a separate thread) After playing dominion to almost 20 I'm having a hard time determining who is good & who is evil.

Hey Folks!

I have begun to suspect that our name reservations are a one shot deal. In the current beta system I could not use my name on a second server.
I am thinking that once you use the name you have reserved it will be locked on other servers even for you. Then after the 14 day lockout is up you will have a chance to compete with other players for the name on other servers.

I guess my point is, make your first character on the server you intend to play on most because the alternative could create a disaster that will take GMs longer than the 14 day lockout to correct.

Name reservations on the beta servers were a bit wonky to begin with though. There were several times that I used a name, deleted the character immediately remade a character with the same name only to have the name locked out. And that happened more than once so, it's doubtful I was that unlucky. What's more I was never able to use that name through the entirety of beta. The name was locked out completely. There were also instances in which I deleted characters from a particular server only to have the system tell me they still existed.

I am not saying that your suggestion isn't possible. I don't really like the thought that a person can reserve that name across all servers. Sounds like a good way to make money, selling popular names because one has a lock down on them because no one else ever had a chance of getting that name.

it actually wasn't until the later days of wow that you could delete a character & immediately use the name again, there used to be a cool down of sorts like I would expect here. All the more reason to make sure that the name you reserved goes on the server which you will play first & take your chances after that.

So my guild name reservation had too many characters in it. So it was reset. Ah well. The Prolific People Perforaters were not meant to be. I reserved "S A G A"? Iunno.
